40 LPA will not yield 22.5% effective tax rate. Personal experience.
3/12 is 25% and not 22.5% again exaggerated.
You pay 6L rent, you get HRA, and save at least 20% on that. Plus, that's not even 2 months of salary.
Plus you dont buy a car every year...
