I'm getting radio frequency ablation in the facets that are already destroyed. It works for about 15 months before the nerves grow back. I'm also taking a prescription nsaid that controls most of the rest of the pain.

Unfortunately, there's damage that hasn't gotten chronic yet. I'm not looking forward to it when it does.

As both someone who has raised cattle and eaten them, and a confirmed carnivore of other species, so long as it's safe, tastes right, and isn't more expensive than the other option, I could care less about the whole debate.

I will happily consume either.

Vat grown meat will destroy the disgusting corporate parts of the industry I despise,and make the small farms like mine a bespoke, luxury product by de-commidifying the market, raising the price of what I sell.

And there are other things my land is good for raising I can pivot to that those lumbering corporate middlemen can't. Most of us don't make a living farming, it's supplemental income.
