@GailSimone Like, that would have been a perfect justification for the character of Captain Phasma and her obsession with Finn: she has to get him back, or eliminate him because he represents her losing control of her troops. As it was, she was just a shiny stormtrooper with a voice we knew.
@SenJeffMerkley@RBReich You understand that this is entirely a foreseeable consequence of Tim Geitner throwing a bunch of people out of their houses all at once ("foaming the runway") while simultaneously setting interest rates to zero or less, letting all the rich people snap up all the houses.
@fuckyouiquit@adamconover Oh, ffs. It was a bad performance and it makes you sound like a lunatic to say otherwise. If tinkerbell dies it's not because we didn't clap hard enough.
@pattonoswalt Gun massacres keep people isolated and paranoid, which is a great way to undermine the spirit of community and solidarity that can foster a sense of the public good. They want the massacres because it furthers their war on the public good.
@pattonoswalt We face a coalition of people aligned against the idea of public good -- some because they resent being asked to contribute any of their wealth towards it, and some because they are afraid that people who look different from themselves might benefit from it.
