Harvey is a great example of how American companies are building world-class specialized models: they took an open-source base (Kimi K3), post-trained it on legal data, and delivered state-of-the-art performance on legal benchmarks at a fraction of the cost of frontier models. Restrictions that kneecap open models would do nothing to stop Chinese labs from shipping the next Kimi. They would, however, cripple the ability of startups like Harvey to create high-performance, low-cost vertical models. Of course some of the closed labs would love this — it eliminates their competition.

Gaza Genocide is a lie.
The Israel-haters & @PiersMorgan hate to hear that but it's true.

They had no answer for a lower civilians to enemy killed ratio in Gaza than the US had in Iraq or any other major urban combat.

That's before you add the myriad war crimes of Hamas designed to get their own people killed. YES purposely.

It's even worse when people incorrectly use the concept of proportionality i.e Hamas only slaughtered 1300 Israelis on Oct 7 so Israel can only kill 1300 in return.

That is wrong entirely. Proportionality means Israel can only use the force proportional to the legitimate military goal. After decades of terror from Hamas the military goal was its destruction and complete removal from Gaza.

Gazans put Hamas in power so when the inevitable blowback for the terror they helped build happened, they put themselves in the crossfire and Hamas made sure to hide and fight among them for maximum damage.

The media and usual Israel-hating suspects invented the Gaza Genocide and the even more absurd Gaza Famine to attack Israel and sadly it has been far too effective.

That makes it even more important to oppose it every chance we get.

Emanuel says he sat down with Mamdani and told him: “Focus on the Big Apple, not the Middle East.” Then confronted him on chanting “from the river to the sea” — the call that means no Jewish homeland for a people who survived the Holocaust — and said “over my dead body.”

Mamdani’s team now claims the conversation never happened.

So either a former White House chief of staff is lying… or the progressive rising star is.
