Saw JD Vance press conference on going after fraud in the SNAP program. That is a good thing. I have an opinion or two on why fraud in not only SNAP and other Government funded programs is not only rampart but apparently very easy to implement. Number 1: Gross incompetence of the Federal employees overseeing the plans. Many of these employees owe their positions to nepotism or DEI. Many of these employees belong in their positions about as much as I belong in the cockpit of a 747 aircraft. Number 2: Pure and simple laziness. This malady has permeated the Federal workplace for years and is condoned. Number 3: Also it could be a contributing factor that the number of employees are simply being overwhelmed by sheer number of participants in the programs. I am not advocating for more hires, just maybe a house cleaning for those who are lazy, incompetent or both. This leads to Number 4: It almost takes an action of Congress for someone to be fired from a Government job nowadays. The fired person can scream racism, sexism and a litany of other ism excuses for their dismissal. So their "bosses" figure why bother.
I am not a religious zealot nor do I push religion or faith of any kind. I consider that matter to be a strictly personal one for everybody. However is it just me or has anyone else noticed the following correlation? As Church membership has declined dramatically in the USA, the rise of the so called DSA has risen dramatically.
@Amy27w I do and here is why. Both have paid into the system so why should she be penalized by only allowing her to receive one check? I believe the rule right now is she would get only one payment per month and that would be the higher amount of the two.
I just cannot wait for her or anybody else coming to my door and wanting to confiscate my firearms. A quick lesson in how they operate and the proper method of using them will greet them at the door.
By the way if the crap going on France spreads here all Patriotic Americans will need their firearms. Hell it is coming down to a street battle anyway sooner or later.
