Happy Birthday Coach Spurrier! You are God's gift to two parents beaming with pride. Your Dad lived through you, like many proud Dads, causing you pain – yet you willed yourself to become a great father as well as coach. You are a hero in my book. @SteveSpurrierUF@AdrianDespres
41 Republican Senators just voted against expanding the child tax credit because they didn't want to help the Biden-Harris Administration.
This is just another example of Republicans putting politics over American families.

I never know what to say on this day, but I have made it a tradition to revisit this prayer offered by the Rev. Clementa Pinckney during the Requiem on Racism at his church, Emanuel AME, less than two months before his assassination. "Emanuel" means "God with us."
61 years ago today, my late sister-in-law, Vivian Malone, and James Hood, made history as the first two Black students to enroll at the University of Alabama. She would go on to be the school’s first African American graduate.
We have made great progress fueled by the courage and determination of people like Vivian. But more work remains to be done. We must continue the fight for justice, for fairness, for equality.
Every word of this!!!
So let me get this straight… Black men are supposedly identifying with a man who accused 5 Black men of a crime … said they needed to be put to death and then never apologized when they were exonerated?!
Identifying with a man who wants to rip away healthcare from 3 million Black Americans, gut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid?!
Identifying with a man, who happily put right wing zealots on the federal bench that have gutted voting rights, diversity programs, affirmative action and eliminated women’s reproductive freedoms?!
Identifying with a man who wants to put more guns in our schools and our streets?!
Identifying with a man who tried to steal an election, caused an insurrection, and then vilified (and caused them to fear for their lives) Black women election workers in Georgia?!
Oh, Hell no! Nobody has time for that mess.
I’m voting for Joe and Kamala!

28 freedmen reburied the "Martyrs of the Race Track" in the Holy City and invited friends and family to consecrate and celebrate the sacrifice of the Union soldiers who freed them ...
The origin of Memorial Day trace back to 1865 when freed slaves started a tradition to honor fallen Union soldiers and to celebrate emancipation and commemorate those who died for that cause.

SOCIAL MEDIA VIOLENCE, when do we get tired of all the violence across social media platforms? Reducing violence in our communication is just as important as reducing physical violence in society. #MLK#Nonviolence365#iShift
Happy Birthday Dr. Pinckney, a born preacher and politician and peacemaker ... on a Statewide Day of Service in South Carolina, what would Clementa have us do?
