"In Singapore, you can file your IT return in just 5 minutes. There’s no tax on capital gains, FD or property sales. This is the real ease of doing business unlike India."
— Samir Arora, CEO Helios Capital
@Vtxt21 My car mileage is not crossing 12kmpl on highway where it used to give me 18 to 20kmpl earlier. Also Kushaq fuel pump have to change with other items cost me 40k. Not even insurance covers it.
The basic job of a government is to give us decent infrastructure but instead of doing that job, (the reason being corruption with contractors), we are now involuntarily a part of a the Ethanol Blending policy without our consent being taken! India can save ₹3lakh crores every year if only we have reasonable roads! Why doesn't the government put all the documents wrt the Ethanol Blending Policy in public domain?

Vehicle buyers pay huge upfront taxes, fees, and cesses. In return, they deserve the basic right to buy the exact fuel their vehicle engines were designed to run on.
If the govt wanted to "experiment" with E20 fuel, they should have done it responsibly by either buying a sample fleet of second-hand cars to test in a controlled settings or invite willing citizens to opt-in using subsidized fuel.
Forcing a mandatory policy onto everyone first and checking if it damages their engines later is outrageous. Treating the entire public as involuntary test subjects is a massive overreach.
India set up a fully functional field hospital in earthquake-hit Venezuela, thousands of kilometres away, simply to help those in need.
This won’t dominate timelines or rack up 50 million views. But let there be one racist post targeting Indians, and it spreads like wildfire.
Humanitarian work rarely goes viral. Hate almost always does.
There are frequent debates in India about what exactly forced the British to grant us Independence in 1947. It was a combination of factors that included a war-weary Britain, and the long-running political mobilisation in India. However, the fear of guerrilla warfare by the revolutionaries, and the possibility of a revolt in the Indian armed forces (esp after INA & Naval revolt) played a major role. We do not need to debate this because Prime Minister Attlee has explicitly noted this in the Transfer of Power papers (Nov 1946). Just look up Vol 9, doc 35, page 68 (199 in the pdf):

If Rahul Gandhi had taken five minutes to check the facts, this entire episode could have been avoided. But that would require effort, not entitlement.
And then, as always, Pawan Khera and Supriya Shrinate step in to amplify half-truths, mistaking noise for substance.
Here is what actually happened. After completing his tenure as India’s Ambassador, Hardeep Singh Puri @HardeepSPuri served as Secretary-General of the Independent Commission on Multilateralism, an autonomous commission set up under the International Peace Institute. He was not part of IPI’s management or governing structure. The Commission was chaired by former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and comprised respected global figures.
Any interaction with Jeffrey Epstein took place only during official IPI/ICM engagements — three or four occasions at most — strictly professional in nature. Epstein was not a member of the Commission. There was no personal or private association.
Before attempting to build a narrative, it would help if they first understood the facts. Public discourse deserves better than insinuation dressed up as investigation.
