A change is looking likely for Ireland later this week. From the weekend high pressure is forecast to build around Ireland.

This high pressure is forecast to situate itself over Ireland which will bring a much drier and sunnier spell for Ireland.

It does look as though this high pressure could linger for much of next week also!

The roadsides around Ransboro are clean and tidy now thanks to all the volunteers who turned out for the clean-up last weekend.

The @CStrandhill All-Ireland Club Senior semi-final due to be played tomorrow in Cavan has been postponed because of weather. New date to be announced.

Christmas Eve a bad day to be without water in our area. However, there appears to be light at the end of the pipe, Irish Water @IWCare are working on it at Carrowmore. They say it will be back by 9pm but hopefully before that.

This year's annual Ransboro St. Stephen’s Day car treasure hunt is in aid of the Sligo branch of @IrishKidneyAs .
Starts from @coolera_house at 12 noon on Thursday Dec 26 and can be completed up to Dec 31.
