Looking closer at #roblox's new game requirements, something doesn't add up.
These are the stats for a game that averages 3-8 players every day, with 10-15 on weekends.
Maybe their definition of "highly engaged" is actually grounded in reality?
@ElevatedRBX I'm aware, the outrage in the quoted tweet was that they consider a "highly engaged player" to be a player with any platform spend in the last 60 days.
Originally thought that was outlandish, but maybe it isn't?
Insane, Roblox just said publicly that a “highly engaged player” is someone who has spent a considerable amount of money on the platform in the last 60 days.
Genuinely insane. This explains why highly monetized games are hitting it so much faster.
Credit to @TheNexusAvenger for finding this
@RobloxVoiceChat It's a 60 day purchase requirement anywhere on Roblox, not specifically your game
However, that's still way too much friction because it inherently incentivises games with players that are regular spenders on the platform
@ZeverAlt This is fine and expected, you obviously don't want people to bot games to the 500 threshold
But an unknown purchase minimum every 60 days is way too much friction
@discord - ability to force existing members to retake onboarding questionnaire
- ability to globally set new channels as visible to existing users too when using onboarding (right now, they remain hidden for existing members unless they specifically enable them or all channels)
