@anarchboywife@pushecn@kaxishk this is a terrible take. many female artists have many male fanbases. you can't claim sexism one way and then change the rules of what sexism is when evidence rolls in that doesn't fit your narrative.
@agbutera_11@randalln3101_2@bentolate toxic positivity is absolutely a thing. yk, when you're not allowed to criticize someone's faves bc they live in "deluluville" or they're such a "girl's girl" who will cut you off for having the slightest different opinions than them... i've dealt with these types of mfs before
@maquisssfx4d@kaxishk why do you like anything you consider funny? this is a terrible question. 15 years ago, anyone was fair game for jokes on the internet. Now, only one race and gender is fair game for actual hate while you arent even allowed to joke about other races or genders
@SpiderManVibe Spiderman protects criminals who sneak into the country illegally, allowing for drug cartels and other shady conducts to run rampant? If we let anyone in without due process, how tf do we know who's double agenting us? No empire or country had ever been run like this and survived
@youknowneno@TheLaurenChen So if Ryan Gosling played Black Panther, would you be racist for noticing? Or is there a specific reason your logic doesn't apply in that instance?
Sure, you don't need ppl to ethnically match a character 100% but at least try to make them look similar.
@Peaked1nterest@TheLaurenChen No, we just don't like ppl being race swapped in movies especially if it's seen as progressive one way & racist in another. I'm all for minorities in the spotlight; just do it legitimately and stop riding white success to do it - this paints an idea that we need whites to succeed
