@SolaTheAlien I completely agree with you; I’m tired of repeating people that if a character has a canonical skin color and no confirmed they gender, then that’s not a "headcanon"—that’s a fucking AU. even if they are canonically gray, yellow, green, or black. doesn't concern humanization
@7n7fujo@mozzaicynth Do you even know that there were white slaves, too? Or that Jews were exterminated? Racism is hatred directed at a specific race; a Black person can hate a white person, and that’s also racism. Just use Google and shut up.
@M_pkaae I think skin tone 3, or maybe 2, suits him best. The very last one just doesn't work—the contrast is too jarring and the first one is too pale. Still, it’s a very beautiful art. ฅᨐฅ
@MarshMarshtomp It’s one thing if they’re genuinely reimagining a character as a human, but it’s quite another when they change absolutely nothing else about the character—altering only their skin color—just to stir up controversy
@MarshMarshtomp I think there’s some truth to that; if someone chooses to humanize a character, they’re free to interpret that however they like. But I’m specifically referring to his Robloxian form—as you can see in the image, he hasn’t been humanized (๑•́︿•̀๑)
@Angel_Flavo I know and I’m not judging at all if someone genuinely enjoys this; I’m just sharing my own perspective as someone who’s simply scrolling through their feed. Everyone has their own tastes (*´ω`*)
@goner4singledad@t0t4l_g33k The complaints specifically concern his Robloxian form; if someone were to humanize the character, they would naturally have their own take on him, but what’s depicted here is his standard form, There’s no point at all in drawing them with human skin tones without humanizing them
@YamzButBetter It might not be you, but that doesn't mean it can't happen to other people. The most obvious example, right now, is guest 1337, who literally has gray skin, not even light, he's fucking gray. But they should definitely draw him dark. it is literally a rejection of his race
@icchr_ If a character already has an established canonical appearance, headcanons can be great—sometimes even quite beautiful—but many people only create them because they believe all characters should be Black, which doesn’t make sense
@icchr_ I’m speaking from my own opinion. I don’t like it when a Black character is depicted as white, but I also don’t like it when a white character is depicted as Black. It’s literally the same thing. Besides, considering that I myself am a Black, I feel I have a right in this thing
@tickingdoom@1337_M4zEn Oh, right—sorry, that’s my mistake. I’ve read so many comments about black guest1337 by now that I misunderstood the meaning of yours. I didn’t mean anything aggressive toward you; ii just an emotional reaction
@tickingdoom@1337_M4zEn He doesn’t have to be Black to be part of a minority. His canonical skin color is gray, and turning him into a Black character effectively strips away everything that makes him unique. Jewish and Slavic people were also targeted and belonged to minorities aren't they an example?
