@RoadsOfMumbai@volklub I use these yellow-tinted glasses at night to counter 'High Beam Idiots (HBI)'.
These are available @Lenskart_com https://t.co/ESegtkl3Eg
I use them when I drive at night, as I am almost blinded by cars that want to flaunt their high-beam lights on city roads.
Bought a ₹6.60 lakh Tiago, only to realise there’s a ₹1.95 lakh "government partner" in the car too.
My cousin decided to buy a 1.2L Tata Tiago for his family’s safety.
Down payment ? His.
5 year EMI ? His.
Insurance ? His.
Fuel expenses ? His.
But apparently, the government’s share in the purchase was not small either.
According to the breakdown
Ex factory plus automaker margin
₹4.65 lakh
Final On road Price
₹6.60 lakh
Government taxes or levies
₹1.95 lakh
That means roughly ₹1.95 lakh went towards taxes and government charges.
And the story does not end there.
First, pay income tax on your salary,
Then use that taxed income to buy the car,
Then pay GST or cess on the car,
Road tax on top
And even 18% GST on insurance.
At some point, you have to wonder
How many layers of taxation does a salaried taxpayer go through just to buy a family car ?
Put sarcastically
"I bought the Tiago,
but the government clearly put in a lot of effort too."
The perfect description might be
Car Mine.
EMI Mine.
Petrol Mine.
Insurance Mine.
But the tax collection ?
Government’s guaranteed partnership.
A joint venture between an exhausted salaried taxpayer and the Department of Revenue,
where one side puts in the money,
and the other side has a guaranteed revenue stream.
@biased_human Doomscrolling has become more like a disease leading to brain rot and losing interest in other things that we used to love doing the most. :(
Remembering the immortal braves of the 62 Bn @crpfindia.
DG and all Ranks of #CRPF pay solemn tribute to 75 valiant troopers of 62 Bn, who made the supreme sacrifice while gallantly countering an ambush by maoists near Tadmetla, Chintagufa, Sukma (then Dantewada), Chhattisgarh on 6 April 2010.
75 of our finest made the supreme sacrifice, neutralizing 7 Maoists and injuring 8 of them during a fierce 6-hour battle against a massive Maoist ambush.
Despite being outnumbered by over 500 heavily armed maoists and over hundreds of IEDs planted at most of the points around the ambush area, where our men could take cover and fire back, their grit was legendary:
Valor in Extremis: Shri Satyawan Singh, Deputy Commandant and Shri B. L. Meena, Asst. Commandant led the troops to fight back displaying indomitable courage and unparalleled bravery.
Some of our heroes lay over grenades to protect brothers and neutralise the enemy.
Oath of Honor: Dying soldiers hid their weapons beneath them to ensure they never fell into the wrong hands.
Gallantry: Saluting Constable/Driver Sampat Lal (PMG) and every soul who stood their ground at Tadmetla.
Their sacrifice is etched in the heart of the nation. We bow to the lions of Chhattisgarh.

Congress is once again spreading blatant lies and misinformation by attempting to blame the Indian government for the U.S. submarine strike on the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena in the Indian Ocean.
This is nothing short of a desperate, politically motivated smear campaign that distorts facts to attack the government.
Claims made by Congress are not just misleading, rather they are outrightly false designed to undermine India's sovereignty and diplomatic standing for their cheap political points.
Here are the undeniable facts that expose their narrative:
• The strike occurred in international waters, approximately 40 nautical miles (about 74 km) off the coast of Sri Lanka near Galle that is not in Indian waters and certainly not under India's jurisdiction or control.
- The incident reportedly took place around 250 nautical miles or more from India's coastline, which is well beyond India's territorial waters (12 nautical miles) or exclusive economic zone boundaries in this context.
- Under established international maritime law (including UNCLOS), no country bears responsibility for incidents in international waters simply due to geographic proximity. The Indian Ocean is a vast shared space involving multiple nations and proximity does not equal accountability or control.
Despite the incident being in Sri Lanka’s SAR zone, the Indian Navy promptly launched full search and rescue operations as soon as the distress call reached MRCC Colombo. It deployed a long-range maritime patrol aircraft within hours, kept another aircraft with air-droppable life rafts on standby, diverted INS Tarangini and sailed INS Ikshak from Kochi to continue the humanitarian search for missing personnel.
Yet the Congress prioritises anti-government and anti-India rhetoric over truth, national interest and basic facts. This pattern of spreading lies to score points only weakens India's unified voice on the global stage.
The Modi government continues to uphold India's strategic autonomy through principled diplomacy, without being dragged into baseless controversies manufactured by the Congress.
IAF acknowledges the loss of Sqn Ldr Anuj and Flt Lt Purvesh Duragkar, who sustained fatal injuries in the Su-30 crash. All personnel of the IAF express sincere condolences, and stand firmly with the bereaved family in this time of grief.

Shah Rukh Khan said Dubai is his second home.
Bhai, K-K-K-K-Kiran is Stuck in “Bunker” near Burj Khalifa.
Virat and Anushka shot a luxury reel in Dubai.
Infinity pool.
Rooftop dinner.
Cantilever building.
The evacuation queue nearby is also quite long, FYI.
Saif and Sara said "Dubai, A Whole New You."
Yes.
Whole new you.
With a go-bag and a bunker address.
Deepika-Ranveer became Abu Dhabi brand ambassadors.
Pure air.
Luxury.
Family destination, they said.
The missiles also have excellent family range, to be fair.
Hrithik, Farhan, Abhay Deol reunited for Yas Island.
"Zindagi Ko Yas Bol," they said.
Zindagi is currently on hold.
Please try again later.
And our intellectuals?
They were watching all these ads and nodding.
"See! THAT is civilization.
THAT is progress."
"India's air is poison.
India's roads are broken."
"Dubai breathes freedom.
Europe breathes culture."
Dubai is now breathing detonation fumes
Europe is on economic life support.
US is rattling its own alliances like a broken toy.
But India?
India is boring.
Embarrassingly, stubbornly, magnificently boring.
No missiles.
No evacuations.
No stranded citizens.
Just boring, peaceful, strategic India.
Now I have one simple question.
Where are they?
The LinkedIn philosophers.
The prime-time patriots.
The X generals fighting wars from their sofas.
"Why is Modi hugging Putin?"
“Why is Modi Calling Netanyahu Brother?”
"Why are we buying Russian oil?"
"Our foreign policy is embarrassing."
"India has no spine."
These people.
Where are they?
The nation wants to know.
Sorry Arnab.
Just show up.
Take the mic.
Give us the lecture again.
India talked to everyone.
Russia.
US.
Israel.
Iran.
Gulf.
Europe.
Even Taliban.
They called it compromise.
We called it options.
When the Middle East started burning,
India had back channels.
When Europe started bleeding,
India had trade corridors.
When US rattled its alliances,
India had its own lane.
Not because we got lucky.
Because someone was thinking ten moves ahead
while our celebrities were filming reels at infinity pools.
The same people who mocked India's foreign policy
are now quietly checking if their OCI cards are valid.
The same voices that said,
"India is not a serious country"
are now grateful India evacuates its citizens efficiently.
India is not perfect.
But right now?
Right now, India is the only civilization,
not bleeding, not begging, not bowing.
That happened because of exactly the,
"compromised," "spine-less" “vote-chor” diplomacy,
these people spent years mocking.
So yes.
I want to see them.
Not to gloat.
To document.
Because history gets rewritten,
by the very people who were wrong about it.
Not this time.
And India is Still Standing.
~50 crore Indians are watching cricket today.
Semi-final.
T20 World Cup.
New Zealand vs South Africa.
14.4 crore on streaming alone.
Tomorrow?
India vs England.
Wankhede. Mumbai.
That number will triple.
But yes.
Tell me again.
India has "huge problems."
India has "Air Problem."
India has a "Compromised PM."
Meanwhile, let's check on the rest of the world.
Middle East?
On fire.
Ukraine?
Still burning.
America?
Its politicians are busy explaining why they were friends with Epstein.
China?
People aren't even allowed to whisper.
And their own leaders are quietly fighting each other.
In silence. Ofcourse.
Because that's the only option.
But India.
India has PROBLEMS.
The same India where 70 crore people can sit in peace, open an app, and watch cricket.
Not ducking missiles.
Not rationing bread.
Not hide in Bunkers.
Not deleting WhatsApp before the government finds it.
Just... watching cricket.
This is what safety looks like.
And to everyone asking "where is our tax money going?"
It went into building a country stable enough for a handful of elites and liberals to sit comfortably and complain about it.
You're welcome.
The world is on fire.
India is on JioHotstar.
We did not stumble into this stability by accident.
Someone built it.
Someone is maintaining it.
Someone is paying for it.
That someone is you.
And the India you live in.
Respect it.
Or at least, stop embarrassing it.

But #Dhurandhar is a propaganda movie! Alas..
We cannot hide under the garb of transition.
Barring Sudarshan, Jurel and Reddy, most of the guys have been around for 7-8 years. Some very experienced campaigners. This is a series of tactical errors , obsession with playing all-rounders and not wanting to learn from mistakes. Embarrassing
The damage is so deep, that even the sacking of Gambhir won't fix problems now, once he is given the pink slip, we would be flooded with stories of broken dressing room, confused players, insecure team mates and a team without belief.
All of this because one guy wanted to prove 'Ek chakke ne WC nahi jitaya'
Well ek Chakke ne ICT ko barbaad kardiya. And you get full CREDIT for it
