Did You Know?
Most restaurant foods are cooked in oils that have been overheated over and over again. You’re not just eating french fries, you’re eating oxidized oils that trigger inflammation, especially in your liver. ~Dr. Eric Berg
The squat is a foundational movement for life.
If you can’t squat, you can’t rise from a chair, from the floor, or even walk upstairs.
Squats build the leg power that keeps you independent and mentally sharp.
One 10-year twin study found that greater lower-body strength predicted slower cognitive decline and better brain health.
Regular squatting triples leg strength, improves blood sugar, and increases bone density.
If you can’t do a deep squat or complete squat, you can do a half squat. You don’t need heavy barbells either. Use goblet, machine, or body-weight variations that fit your body.
As I’ve mentioned before, Strong legs equal a healthy brain and a long life.

It's Saturday and Time for a Walk! 🚶♀️
Did you know that walking, reduces risks of chronic diseases (e.g., heart disease, diabetes) and improves overall longevity. For example, a 2015 study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that brisk walking for 150 minutes per week was associated with a 3-5 year increase in life expectancy.
While not as robust as longer exercise, just 10 minutes daily contributes to the 150-minute weekly activity goal linked to a 20-30% lower mortality risk
Even this small amount is a meaningful step toward better health.
What started as an idea has now gone live for the world to own

The gut microbiome produces 96% of the body's serotonin. 😮
Serotonin Impacts:
Mood and Mental Health: Serotonin is a key neurotransmitter regulating mood, sleep, and emotional well-being.
Poor gut health may disrupt serotonin levels, potentially contributing to mental health disorders or cognitive issues.
Gut serotonin regulates motility, secretion, and digestion. Imbalances can lead to conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or other gastrointestinal disorders.
Sleep
Serotonin has been linked to improved immune function and reduced inflammation.
To Improve:
Eat foods rich in tryptophan such as chicken, salmon, eggs, nuts, seeds.
Prebiotic foods like legumes, fruits (e.g., bananas, apples), and vegetables (e.g., onions, garlic) feed beneficial gut bacteria, which can enhance serotonin production.
Fermented Foods: Probiotics in yogurt, kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut, and other fermented foods can support a healthy microbiome, potentially boosting serotonin indirectly by improving gut health and reducing inflammation.
Chronic inflammation can impair serotonin production. Anti-inflammatory foods like fatty fish (rich in omega-3s), olive oil, and turmeric, along with avoiding processed foods and excessive sugar, can help maintain a healthy gut environment.
And the Big 3 as I refer to them:
1. Manage stress
2. Exercise
3. Quality sleep
All 3 are crucial to optimal health as well.
