Applications to the 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 in partnership with @bankofireland and @comicrelief are still open.

The fund will provide valuable investment for community initiatives making a difference in towns and villages across Northern Ireland. The fund will enable those organisations who are making the lives of others in their communities better, by improving their financial, physical, and mental wellbeing.

Applications for funding must target one of the themes below:

🤝 Projects promoting inclusion and belonging, particularly to enhance the physical and mental well being of the local community

💻 💳 Projects that strengthen the capacity of individuals to engage with a range of available digital services in order to help manage their money in a digital age

💡💵 Projects that enhance people’s financial knowledge through financial education programmes

🚴‍♀️🏞️ Projects promoting physical activity which uses the assets located within the area

🧘‍♂️ Projects that improve the ability of individuals to access mental health and wellbeing services either i) directly, through the provision of support or ii) indirectly, through education/awareness raising programmes

💖 Projects that encourage the active participation of individuals in their own mental wellbeing. Projects should aim to promote increased independence/resilience in relation to an individual’s mental health

The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland is seeking a suitable individual or organisation to conduct a formative and summative evaluation of the Nothing About Us Without Us Programme.

The objectives of the contract are as follows:

🟡 To tell an independent story of the Nothing About Us Without Us Programme
🟡 To measure the impact of the programme
Identify key policy lessons for wider dissemination, setting the work and impact of the funds in the wider policy context
🟡 To listen and identify learning as well as make recommendations for how future funds and programmes could be adapted to incorporate this learning
🟡 To assess the longer-term impact of the Nothing About Us Without Us Programme within the wider community

Today we announce our partnership with @DeloitteNI which will establish a new hub for entrepreneurs in Belfast city centre, ‘Catalyst – Bedford Street’.

The new coworking space will feature over 90 desks in open-plan areas and studios, a number of meeting pods and individual call booths, a presentation and events space and a cafe. The cafe will be run by award-winning social enterprise the NOW Group.
