Proud to enable deep tech companies to scale faster, including @camera_int.

Our support began early, and we're excited to witness the next step in their journey to grow.

Really proud to introduce Caira, the intelligent camera of the future, available now on @Kickstarter !

At @camera_int we're building Caira to allow more people to capture beautiful content without the complex workflow.

Every year tens of millions of people upgrade from their phone to a better camera. But, let’s face it, digital cameras aren’t exactly easy to use.

The learning curve is steep and editing content afterwards on your laptop requires significant time investment to master.

We are building a future where capturing and editing content is seamless and intuitive.

Caira is a new generation camera that combines a Micro Four Thirds interchangeable lens mirrorless system with a powerful intelligence that acts as your creative partner.

We believe LLMs and AI have the power to abstract away traditional complex interfaces, allowing people to focus their efforts on their creative vision.

Caira instantly snaps to your iPhone and is designed for creators, travellers, and anyone who wants to unlock their creative potential.

Super proud of my team at @camera_int

Thanks to our investors - @DigiCatapult, @betaworks, @Borthwick, @jordanrcrook, @7pcventures, @andruyeung, @srcasm, @flybridge, @Systemic_VC

But, the biggest thanks goes to our earliest supporters and backers. We’ve learnt a lot and Caira is a real improvement

This Kickstarter campaign is just the start of a new era of smart, intelligent cameras for content creation.

[Vish Kumar 🇬🇧 @vishalkumar]

📸 Happy to finally announce the closure of our $2m seed round to accelerate the launch of our AI-powered assistive camera of the future.

Backed by @betaworks, F4 Fund and @NextWaveNYC via @flybridge, @7pcventures and @DigiCatapult we’re redefining the future of cameras and content creation.

✅ We’re integrating a large language model (LLM) directly into an interchangeable lens mirrorless camera for the first time ever.

✅ We’re entering a new phase in our journey under the name Camera Intelligence (@camera_int) - with a brand that better reflects our direction of travel.

Why does this all matter?

Producing engaging, high-quality content is necessary for creators and small businesses. But content tools are fragmented with steep learning curves.

We want to help creators and businesses go from idea → execution faster than ever: no fuss - just smart, assistive content production in their hands.

We've been working hard behind the scenes to deliver a radical new interface that allows users to control camera functions through voice commands.

Being on the AI native camp at @betaworks in NYC was hugely influential for our ability to develop and deploy our LLM-driven technology - thanks to @Borthwick, @jordanrcrook, @nicole_ripka and the team.

Huge thanks to all of our other investors who believed in our renewed vision Digital Catapult (@SusanBowenUK) and 7percent Ventures (@andrewjscott), and members from the NYC ecosystem (@andruyeung, @thesephist).

🎥 We will be sharing a demo video tomorrow so that you can see what we’re building in action…we can’t wait to share more!

I also can’t wait to tell you about a few incredible team members we're recently hired to realise this vision, and thanks to all of our customers for their patience and support.

We're only getting started...

🌟 Pleased to see our efforts in accelerating real-world adoption of deep tech in the creative industries being recognised by Music Technology UK's report.

Besides enabling Black-founded companies in digital entertainment to scale faster, we also collaborated with Music Technology UK to support AI-first startups through our accelerator for the @innovateuk #BridgeAI programme.

These initiatives equip the UK to be future ready by solving what matters. As our Head of Creative Industries, Laura Helm, shared in the report:

"Is this product or service solving a problem for anyone? That’s the crucial point. Are there insights from industry or consumers that this is something that will add value to their business or customer experience, and it’s not simply a nice-to-have?”
