CRC will remain closed to the public through the weekend. We'll reopen on Tuesday, Jan 4th!

With overnight temps below freezing & slow melts during the day, we need a few more days to ensure our site is safe for all.

Important info below about hummingbirds in wintertime. If you find an unresponsive hummingbird, leave them be! They're probably in torpor.

Our resident Anna's Hummingbirds are hearty & can survive in freezing temperatures, but appreciate a thawed nectar source during cold snaps. Hummingbirds will go into torpor each night by lowering their heart rate, body temperature, & metabolic rate - amazing survival strategy!
