I've been rewatching all of Sailor Moon again and I cannot stop thinking about cosplaying all the daimons from the season S, but ESPECIALLY this one ๐คฃ
In other news I of course went to the @CosplayDeviants party Saturday night and body is absolutely still paying for it lmao. It was really great seeing everyone there again though. Such a good time. I might need to tone it down a bit next year tho ๐คฃ
I saw lots of white ppl in the BIPoC lounge.
Not taking up space but joining it.
Sharing a table without speaking over people.
Learning by observing.
Listening.
Put in the effort to not make it about YOU but helping us push forward for equity and safety in our spaces at large.
When a space like this is created, itโs created intentionally b/c of what has been put in front of us so we try to enact & progress change.
This whole โI canโt enter, but what about me and mineโโ; those thoughts are a perfect example of what when we say โquit centering yourselfโ
If you see โBIPOC Loungeโ and youโre white and your first thought is:
omg I CANT ENTER, ITS EXCLUDING ME, IโM SCARED TO EVEN TAKE ONE STEPโฆ
Then thatโs on you.
You need to unpack that.
A dedicated space for marginalized groups of people SHOULD NOT illicit a response like that.
