I stopped by to pray maghrib at a mosque at 49, Bola Street Ebute Metta and the imam announced that one of the members has a sick wife battling cancer and they need monetary support. I took a picture of the account number written on the board. Please whoever can should donate and share.

While I was in school, I used to tell my friends to come to our shop anytime I was the one serving or in charge, just so they could eat free food 😂

I’ve always loved giving to people because I understood the privilege I had, having a mum who sells food in school.

Beyond that, I always had someone to run to whenever I needed anything or something was wrong.

Alhaja studied Business Administration, served like everyone else, tried different jobs, and eventually settled for selling food.

Life is funny like that, you really don’t know where you’ll end up, but she’s doing well and thriving.

She’s been in this business for over 13 years, and many students who have graduated still come back to appreciate and celebrate her for how selfless she was and how she treated them.

Her food has always been affordable and enjoyable.

I’ve fulfilled my promise of giving 20 people lunch, and they all appreciated it ❤️

If you want an affordable and quality meal, you can always visit Alhaja’s shop at Faculty of Arts.

Now the question is,

Should we also give 20 people bread and beans? 🌚😂

Since I made this post, I’ve received a lot of comments and DMs testifying to this.

Alhaja is very popular in the Faculty of Arts and one thing many people can agree on is her hospitality. If you’ve ever been to her shop, you’d know you might wait over 30 minutes before getting food because of how crowded the place usually is. Yet, students still patronize her because her food is affordable, student-friendly, and of good quality.

Sadly, the current situation of the country and the school’s new transportation system have greatly affected patronage compared to before.

What even surprised me the most is seeing many past students in the comments who know the name Sambo Abdulakeem without actually knowing me personally, simply because my bank account is the one she still uses till today.

For this reason, I’ve decided to support in my own little way.

If you’re a Unilorite and you’d love to get a free lunch, I’ll be paying for 20 students.

I’ve been in debt since 2024 (about 2M) and my creditor loves me because I have never failed to pay, but right now I do not have the capacity to carry on. (Today is January 14 and I have not received a single credit alert this year) And I have used all I have to settle my debt, I am 350k away from being debt free.
