I had the pleasure of participating in #sschat tonight! It was amazing to chat live with educators from around the world and expand my PLN. Feeling empowered and connected as an educator!! #EDCI338
A very important skill to develop for 21st-century learners! I find this blog post from Kathleen Morris to be a useful place to start: https://t.co/fzYWWQ6YBC
@Owl_b_TorresEdu As a Canadian teacher, I always like to explore the Canadian government’s relationship with First Peoples, as well as the development of the Canadian identity over time. I'm open to resources on either of these topics! #sschat#EDCI338#decolonizetheclassroom
One of the most essential skills that I teach in social studies is the ability to compare and contrast continuities and changes for different groups at particular times and places #sschat#EDCI338
Only one question this week but it’s an important one…What are the essential skills that you teach in social studies and what resources do you use to teach them? #sschat

! What an amazing lesson plan. I really liked how your lesson had clear learning intentions, it made it very easy to follow. I also made a lesson plan for grade 3 students, maybe we can all work together on a lesson in the future 👀#EDCI338
@TransformT3ach Absolutely! I believe that students should be constantly finding new ways to follow their interests, Twitter is an amazing way to do so!! #EDCI338

I am reactivating my Twitter account in efforts to learn more about the functions so that I can relate to my future students. I hope to connect with fellow members of the education community and share experiences in the field of education. #EDCI338
@MsSwan63 I agree! I think that the vast nature of open learning is can be very intimidating. Where do you start? Where do you stop? Good problems to have, yet definitely chaotic like you said @MsSwan63#EDCI339
@verenanz Openness and sharing bring certain freedoms that can only be provided online. I think that when it comes to educational contexts, the ability to research individual passions and to share findings with a variety of audiences are among the greatest benefits. #EDCI339
