Shocking News:
Execution for Showing Your Hair: New Hijab Law in Iran
The Islamic Republic has taken its war on women and dissent to horrifying new levels. A new law now allows execution for those accused of promoting “nudity, unveiling, or improper attire.” Imagine this: calling for personal choice or collaborating with media or foreign organizations can now be branded “corruption on earth” under Article 286 of the Islamic Penal Code, a charge punishable by death.
As if death weren’t enough, the new laws, ensuring that flogging and imprisonment continue as punishments for defying forced hijab rules.
For years, these cruel penalties have specifically targeted women and LGBTQ+ communities, criminalizing basic self-expression and personal freedoms.
This is not a law; it is a tool of terror, a deliberate, calculated weapon to crush women, silence voices, and obliterate the fight for equality. The regime, desperate to maintain control, wields fear and violence against its own people, knowing it is losing its grip on power.
The world cannot remain silent. Every moment of inaction enables this tyranny. It’s time to hold the Islamic Republic accountable for its crimes against humanity.
I call on women worldwide, especially prominent actors, athletes, and female politicians, to raise their voices and join this fight against the gender apartheid imposed by the Islamic Republic.
To the men: stand with us. Women’s rights are human rights, and only through unity can we dismantle this tyranny and achieve freedom and equality for all.

Standing up for yourself doesn't make you argumentative. Sharing your feelings doesn't make you oversensitive, and saying no doesn't make you uncaring or selfish. If someone won't respect your feelings, needs, and boundaries, the problem isn't with you.
What if we stopped calling it 'borderline personality disorder' and started calling it what it often is: survival patterns from unmet needs, trauma, misrecognition and rejection.

This morning, Mum suddenly grabbed my hand as we watched the news on #GiselePelicot & said:
"We teach you girls to be so vigilant, to always stay alert, every minute of the day. But now what? How are we supposed to protect you while you're sleeping too?"
And it has broken me.
Gisèle Pelicot has made a statement leaving the court:
Her voice did break at a couple of moments but she was clear and composed. Apologies for clumsy translation:
"It is with profound emotion that I speak to you today. It was a very difficult ordeal...
"I want any woman who wakes up one morning with no memories of the night before to remember what I said," she stated. "So that no more women can fall prey to chemical submission. I was sacrificed on the altar of vice, and we need to talk about it." Shame must change sides. Brava
There's no time more important to spread awareness for children affected by a parent's drinking

Even on a 40hr wage its a squeeze. So to suggest people have to reduce hours or leave their job to even be considered for financial support as a carer, with no guarantee of success, is as you say a travesty
Make it make sense. Appointing one of your own to 'establish all of the facts' where an independent, unbiased person would clearly be the best route of investigation
