I asked some people to put their dogs on a lead yesterday and got a load of backchat
Dog walkers don’t know where their dogs will stress sheep or wildlife like ground nesting birds - locals do
But they won’t listen
Instead of using farms as solar panel targets, stopping the production of food. Wouldn’t it be easier to just make it a law that all new houses have to have solar installed? I mean these developers often gift a school or village hall to get planning permission (because they make so money off the builds), surely they could just absorb the cost into the new builds?
Then this could be replicated on new buildings, car parks, warehouses etc etc. It doesn’t need fields to be taken away. What do you think?
@JoeWStanley changing the countryside static by static, field by field, there will be more of this if farmers have to sell off plots of land to pay IHT. It all helps the pitch targets & the Cornish housing crisis. Perhaps we should all buy a field & a few statics @CornwallCouncil
@QuintinBradley this is what’s happening in Cornwall. If you’re a Romany gypsy or traveler you can buy a field, set up a site & get retrospective permission where no one else can. Dr Simon Ruston is holding Cornwall Council to ransom over pitch targets that can never be met.
@Radmore_farm@CornwallCouncil already allows this. From grade 3 agricultural land to a caravan site next to 2 listed features. Shame on the decision makers @PINSgov

The more informed, the more queens survive and the more #bumblebees we have.
Simple.
Our native wild #bees are in serious trouble and we need to be there for them every way we can.
Thanks again for helping!

A little bit of good in a world that so needs it.

@1GarethWynJones So sad & it’s going to get worse when farmers have to sell off bits & pieces of land to pay their Inheritance tax. This is what happens when the planning department @CornwallCouncil, @PINSgov don’t do their job properly & allow this in the open countryside.
@muddymuddymum@CornwallCouncil They would help but not just anywhere, that’s what the Cornwall Local Plan is supposed to be for. How is it everyone knows it goes on but no one does anything about it. No wonder they’re laughing all the way to their twice yearly foreign holidays, Ferraris , Harley Davisons etc.
Condemned, betrayed & failed by the people who are supposed to protect us & the Cornish countryside @CornwallCouncil, @PINSgov. These “stables” are in the open countryside on Grade 3 agricultural land overlooking a listed building! Where next? @CornwallLive@cornishtimes
It’s March. Planting native trees as screening “will take 5-6 years to mature” & be effective for only half the year. This is the view from houses in the village every day. Not “glimpses” for them, they aren’t passing through! @CornwallCouncil@PINSgov@CornwallLive@BBCCornwall
