Told parents: sit your children down and make them apply for the FG student loan. Tuition + upkeep, zero interest, no guarantor.
Don’t assume your children know. Sit them down. Help them apply.
Also stressed this: if you’re 40 or 50 and get admission, you qualify too. No age limit. Education no get expiry date.
Opportunity dey. Make our street no slack.
If one child in our street graduates, the whole street wins.
Knowledge reduces crime. Let’s push our people to apply.

Straight from the rugged streets of Ajegunle, Daddy Fresh (born Innocent Michael Onyebuchi) was a true pioneer of the ghetto sound.
He was Founding member and leader of the group "De Pretty Busy Boys" alongside his mentor and group mate Daddy Showkey, he brought a unique reggae-dancehall flavour that helped birth the Galala movement.
If you grew up in AJ, you'll definitely remember him
You just know Funke was so pissed at the whole drama for her to call Kunle Afolayan!
Now you want to act all nice and mushy
Everybody should maintain their lane please!
This is what accountability looks like. Not everyone will admit it, but many went too far in 2023. Politics should never cost us our humanity because the moment you can’t respect others choices, you’ve already lost.
Subject: Request for Correction on Media List for APC Convention
Dear Professor Nentawe Yilwatda @nentawe1 APC Chairman, and Convention Organising Committee members,
I'm writing to express concerns about the media list for the upcoming APC convention. Some names appear twice, while others party soldiers online who've been instrumental in defending the party are neglected.
I humbly request the committee:
Correct duplicate names
Replace duplicates with deserving party members not yet included
Consider adding active online party supporters who've contributed significantly
This isn't about everyone being included, but about recognising key voices, especially those defending the party online. A lot of us were neglected while some names appear twice.
There's still time for amendments.
Thanks and God bless🙏
Sincerely,
@fattylincorn_01@woye1@DOlusegun@DrSRJ_@Imranmuhdz@OfficialAPCNg
At Kleener Touch Facility Management Ltd., we celebrate the hardworking women who keep homes, offices, and communities shining.
Happy International Women’s Day!
It’s my story and it’s long and sound so unreal!
2002 I gained admission into Unilag to study medicine and surgery (Merit list), my WAEC result was out but chemistry was omitted. There was a long strike then during OBJ’s tenure that lasted for almost a year, so I was happy that I can lodge my complaint to WAEC, I wrote letters, my brother followed me to WAEC offices, my dad’s friend introduced us to someone in WAEC, we were sha on it till the strike was off with no positive response. Meanwhile we don’t even know if I passed or failed this subject 😩😩 and that was my only chance of securing my admission.
At a point my mom said I should switch courses, but it wasn’t possible because I only did sciences subjects and no department will take me without Chemistry 😩😩😩
Later when registration started, the man in WACE told me to start registration and start going for lectures (which I did), but I had to pause my registration at some point because my chemistry was still missing.
Anyways fast forward to a day to the last day of registration 😩😩😩 the results wasn’t out still *mogbe!!! I went to the school mosque and observed tahajjud and prayed with tears in my eyes (because I’m not one of those that get things easily and I was scared that if I lose that admission that’s the end), went back to my hostel where (I was squatting with my friend. Couldn’t get an hostel because I wasn’t done with registration),dressed up and started going to WAEC without knowing what I’m going there to do 😩😩😩 on getting there I met my father 🤣🤣 and one thing about my dad is, he will always know someone when he gets somewhere, I saw my dad and we were both surprised, I had called him the day before that registration was ending and I’m about to lose my admission, my dad was chatting with the secretary to WAEC Director like someone he had known all his life 🤣🤣 apparently she was born and raised in my home town. Anyways we got to see WAEC Director that said my chemistry was out but they can’t give it to me because the protocol is to DHL it to school 🙆🏾♀️🙆🏾♀️🙆🏾♀️ it was a Friday and last day of registration, mind you I don’t even know what the result is saying o maybe na pass or fail. Anyways the Director called Unilag and told them he was going to give me the result because there’s no way DHL can deliver that day but he will minute on it and the school agreed. I got to school, went straight to senate to give it to the woman and I was nervous af because I didn’t know what was in the result 😩😩😩 guys guess what I had in chemistry? A1!!! Yes A1 because chemistry was my favorite subject. I was too happy and 23 years later I can still remember like it’s yesterday. Since that day I don’t joke with the power of Tahjjud or any prayer.
Over the weekend, I participated in the Chinese Lagos Forum, celebrating 55 years of diplomatic relations between China and Nigeria, a partnership built on both commerce and culture. 🇨🇳🇳🇬
We supported this initiative because we believe culture and commerce are interconnected. While commerce builds economies, culture builds understanding and lasting relationships.
The forum showcased cultural performances, heritage dialogues, and the shared values that unite our nations. It reinforced that true partnership goes beyond trade it thrives in the art we create and the traditions we honour.
Hosted by Consul General Yan Yuqing and attended by business and cultural leaders, the event highlighted Lagos as a hub for both economic collaboration and cultural diplomacy.
Together, we will continue strengthening ties through cultural exchange and mutual respect. 🤝

A sister once approached me, asking for help in finding a spouse. By the grace of Allah, I found a practicing, God-conscious Muslim brother and introduced them. Shortly after, the sister, out of desperation and advancing age, went to an “Alfa” for a so-called compatibility check, something we have consistently warned against. She was told they were “incompatible.”
The moment the brother informed me of this, I knew the matter would not end well. Anyone who submits a major life decision to soothsaying, especially marriage, has already placed the foundation on sand. I advised the brother to disengage and move on quickly. Not long after, the sister herself also moved on. That chapter closed exactly as expected.
For the umpteenth time, our people must hear the voice of wisdom clearly and without ambiguity: soothsaying, divination, and fortune-telling are ḥarām, no matter the language used, the outfit worn, or the religious titles claimed.
Allah says:
“Say: None in the heavens and the earth knows the unseen except Allah.”
(Qur’ān 27:65).
And He says:
“Indeed, Allah alone has knowledge of the Hour; He sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in which land it will die.” (Qur’ān 31:34)
The Messenger of Allah (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) was even more explicit:
“Whoever goes to a fortune-teller and asks him about anything, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
And in another narration:
“Whoever goes to a soothsayer or fortune-teller and believes what he says has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muḥammad (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam)” (Aḥmad, Abū Dāwūd)
This matter is not trivial. Consulting such people, regardless of whether they wear turbans, quote verses, or operate under Islamic labels, is a path of shirk and a remnant of pre-Islamic ignorance. It is a red flag in marriage, character, and creed.
If compatibility must be assessed, and Islam does not oppose due diligence, then do it the halal way:
Pray Ṣalāt al-Istikhārah, as taught by the Prophet (ṣallāLlāhu 'alayhi wa sallam)
Meet openly and honestly (within Islamic boundaries)
Ask serious questions about dīn, character, worldview, responsibilities, and expectations
Consult families, elders, and trusted counselors
Where necessary, seek medical and psychological counsel
Islam teaches tawakkul, not superstition. The future is in Allah’s Hands alone, not in the tongues of sorcerers.
Desperation must never push a believer into disobedience. Marriage built on fear of the future rather than trust in Allah is unlikely to bring sakīnah.
May Allah grant our community clarity, protect us from hidden shirk, and guide our choices with īmān, wisdom, and sound judgment. Āmīn.
