Given that citizens are very busy, trying to make a living, how do we get them to see the connections between bad policies & their immediate woes?

How will Kejetia traders understand that one of the reasons for the erratic power supply in West Africa's largest market is because Kumasi city govt officials keep using the fees they pay as collateral for fresh loans, which they then pump into poorly managed projects that don't deliver returns?

Or that there are big, private, businesses like Fidelity Ghana always standing by to cut these kinds of deals? And when confronted will hire big politicians as their lawyers in the hope that they will scare away activists?

Folks blame democracy in the abstract as the problem. But democracy has to be PUT INTO PRACTICE. Citizens have to be informed & primed to push for their interests. What happens when they are too busy trying to survive?

Give them a benign dictatorship so that they don't need to bother? How does a country/people CHOOSE a benign dictatorship? 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Technically, Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng’s declaration that he has never received a contract from the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government even though he enjoys great friendship with the President and Vice is quite true.

From my unimpeachable tracking, all the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government contracts have been awarded to Kusi Boateng’s second identity — which is Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.

See attached evidence of government’s payment vouchers to two companies: EL Dunamis Limited and JNS Talent Centre Limited both owned by Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.

The two companies were paid a total of GHS7million (GHS3.5million each) for the supply of paper towels to the Ministry of Health in 2021.

JNS Talent received payment from government on 23rd July, 2021.

EL Dunamis was also paid by government on 17th August, 2021 for the supply of tissues.

I can’t imagine how GHS7million worth of tissues look like.

Interestingly, both contracts were single-sourced.

Obviously, if diligent parliamentary oversight had not exposed his criminal double identity scheme, this is how he would have gotten away by deceiving many with such dishonest sermons and contract-induced prophecies.

May God have mercy on humankind.
