This is not SCOTUS. They apply the law. Most cases involve criminal convictions, family court matters, business and estates.

@MichaelYelnosky Judge Mary McElroy was appointed by Trump (because of Reed/Whitehouse) I don’t think anyone would consider her conservative. It’s myopic and misleading to suggest any attorney who worked for a Republican appointed judge (or DOJ) is a republican.

@SamuelWBell I don’t think that’s accurate. Matos is a fair and thoughtful jurist, often sharp on suppression issues for Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights. The framing of purely right vs left loses some muster on the bench. We have no idea how Shekarchi would be as a judge but we know Matos
