The Telangana government and CM Revanth Reddy garu has identified this issue of transgenders and thought of a unique way of integrating them into society rather than always secluding and alienating them . A pilot project of hiring 50 of them as traffic assistants with the status of a home guard has been implemented and their appointment letters were also given. After their training , they ll be on duty from Monday 24 rth December ,onwards.

As per the directives of the Election Commission of India, for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly General Election 2024, all polling stations in Mumbai were equipped with Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) for voters.

These facilities included drinking water, designated seating for those in queues, waiting rooms, fans, adequate lighting, clean toilets, trash bins, wheelchairs and ramps for PwD (Divyang) voters, tents in open areas, and volunteers to assist with crowd management.

I relate to her experience as someone who also endures daily threat calls and Islamophobic messages. Imagine receiving calls at midnight while with your partner or during a private moment, only to hear Islamophobic, sexist, and racist slurs. They target my family—my wife, mother, and other loved ones—calling me a terrorist and threatening arrest or elimination. No, we, as Muslim journalists, are undeterred. But the public, journalists’ associations, political parties, law enforcement agencies, and governments must be held accountable for their silence.
