JOHN BOADU RECEIVES MASSIVE ENDORSEMENT IN UPPER WEST REGION

Aspiring NPP National Chairman, John Boadu, has received an overwhelming endorsement from Constituency Chairmen and party executives in the Jirapa and Wa Zones of the Upper West Region as he continues his nationwide campaign tour.

The endorsement followed his engagement with Constituency Executives, Council of Elders and four constituencies of Wa Central, Wa East, Wa West and DBI, where Mr. Boadu articulated his vision of “Bringing Back the Winning Ways of the NPP.”

His presentation, which highlighted his deep understanding of the NPP’s ideals and ideology, extensive institutional memory and practical experience in political party management, generated strong enthusiasm and confidence among the party executives. The five constituencies subsequently declared their full support for his candidature as the next National Chairman.

Delivering a passionate endorsement, Hon. Joseph Dassah Kontomah, Constituency Chairman for Nadowli-Kaleo, recalled Mr. Boadu’s departure from the position of General Secretary in 2022, saying it was then that he realised that the party had lost a strategic, knowledgeable, experienced and hardworking leader while seeking to the break the eight in that crucial election.

Hon. Kontomah disclosed that he had since advocated for Mr. Boadu to return to national leadership and expressed his conviction that the party needs an experienced and tested leader to rebuild its structures, restore unity and lead the NPP to victory in another crucial election in 2028.

As a symbol of their endorsement and solidarity, the Constituency Chairmen presented Mr. Boadu with a smock (Fugu/ Batakari), representing honour, identity and the strong bond between the party and the people of the Upper West Region. The gesture also paid tribute to the enduring legacy of Chief S.D. Dombo of Lawra, a founding figure of the NPP tradition.

Receiving the gift, Mr. Boadu expressed his profound appreciation for the confidence and affection demonstrated by the constituency leaders and party executives.

He reaffirmed his commitment to unity, firm and effective leadership, and the restoration of the NPP’s winning tradition, pledging to work collectively with party members to secure victory for the NPP in 2028 and support the election of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as President of the Republic of Ghana as the elected National Chairman of New Patriotic Party.
