Some kind of serious disconnect here… either he knew but didn’t care or simply ignored the constantly repeated fact that we would be forced to drop standards for a US deal when Lowe supported Brexit… night follows day it was so bleeding obvious!!
Huge good morning to David Lammy!
Here’s 15% of our courtrooms. Just sitting there. Empty.
Shall we use them? Recruit judges for them? Hold rape trials in them?
For victims?
And instead of restricting the right to jury trial for thousands of people?
And if not, why not?
@RupertLowe10@Alaskaherb1 You pushed for us to leave the EU, to drop food standards and allow deregulated slop.
Brexit screwed British farmers and British consumers and our high British-European standards.
"Thames Water said it was investing £20bn between 2025 and 2030 to upgrade its network and that it had paid no dividends or performance-related payments to executive directors last year."
Yet more complete nonsense from @thameswater. Who's "investing" £20bn, that'll be TW's customers, every single penny of that is coming from bill increases, shareholders aren't putting in a farthing.
Paid no dividends, that's not what their annual accounts said and that's exactly why Ofcom fined them, they have indeed paid "dividends". @AlexMJourno
Naughty, naughty naughty Thames Water.

A Reform council leader behind a “Doge”-style war on public spending is owner of two companies which have been placed into administration owing £1.5m.
Andrew Husband’s firms owe more than £500,000 in tax, government-backed Covid loans, and staff pay.

Nigel Farage came out of the draw for a Parliamentary question today.
Some of us, who would have given our eye teeth for that, were there at 9:30 hoping to catch the Speaker’s eye.
With 650 MPs the odds are bad but despite being lucky winner of a coveted place he was a no-show
All MPs enter a ballot to be picked for a PMQ - you have the same chances of being called as the rest of us.
I note though that you came out the ballot for DEFRA questions this morning but didn’t show up to ask your question….
Ah yes, I well remember our hard work on behalf of the fishing industry. Out of 42 Fisheries meetings while I was an MEP I bothered to attend 1. Then we screwed the whole fishing industry with Brexit, so well done us.
Flying from an airport soon?
After handling the security tray, wash your hands. It's the riskiest part of the journey. By bringing the people of the world together, aviation inadvertently combines their various malaises in a terrifying microbial cocktail.

Yeh - that didn’t take long…
So it’s gonna be corporate chicken farms and horticulture businesses first
I’ll be amazed if an actual farmer makes it through the doors at any stage of this charade
“I bought a house in Clacton – what more do you want me to do?”
Although when I say “I bought” I mean my girlfriend bought it.
And when I say “girlfriend” I mean her parents.
And no, they don’t have that sort of money.
But it wasn’t a tax dodge!
Hang on… the response is gonna come from folks from food production (the 50% ultra processed food sellers?) retail (the firms that rip us off), finance (the people who want our land), and goverment (who’ve made us unprofitable)… but we can go to the meetings, great, thanks
"South East Water boss David Hinton doesn’t want to resign after 24,000 Tunbridge Wells homes and businesses left without water."
Last year David Hinton was paid £457,534 the year before £440,472 the year before that £417,483. Maybe that's got something to do with it.

Oh look, it rained.
Areas of the country where water companies are currently dumped sh*t into rivers and on to beaches.
Brown, currently dumping sewage.
Red, has been dumping sewage within the last 24 hours.
Thames Water fallen foul of their own bullshit, yet again.
In April they took new Banbury MP @SEANLWOODCOCK to visit the local sewage works and trumpeted their £14.7m investment which was going to increase capacity by 84 per cent and all to be done by 2029.
Which is funny cause that's exactly what they told Banbury's former MP Victoria Prentis when she visited the works in 2023 except the cost then was £10m and works were going to be completed by 2025. 🤔
Oops.
PS. TW was actually given the money by Ofwat to do the work in 2019.
Oh what a tangled web of deceit we weave.
