One of Struggle trusted bodyguards, identified as Ashraf Serembe, also known as Commander Ashraf, is currently bedridden and fighting for his life after doctors discovered a deadly infection in his intestines.

Sources indicate that Ashraf was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. Doctors have recommended an urgent surgical operation to save his life. He is now appealing for help and support from his fellow comrades in the struggle.

Ashraf is remembered for heroically confronting and muscling off armed UPDF soldiers who attempted to forcefully abduct the NUP party president during the 2021 presidential campaigns.
