@NealGardner_ On the bright side, this allows other players to take responsibiltiy on shine. Huge confidence boost for Lo Celso and Lautaro thus far. Does Argentina a lot more good in the long run...
@NealGardner_ Our tactics are heavy on profiles. Yamal the orchestrator, Pedri the controller, Raphinha with pressing/clutch moments, JC/Balde carrying entire flanks. Any single injury in these 4 positions weakens us massively. Bayern and PSG drill systems and aren’t as reliant on individuals
@ouwitt___@lordemzlot12@TrustFlick That’s fair. Stressed me out that the board thinks Bastoni is the solution. We will have to put up with mediocre defending for years it looks like
@ouwitt___@lordemzlot12@TrustFlick He’s not the one asking to be the first choice defender lol. And btw, he owned up to the mistake on socials. Didn’t take a 3 months mental health break like the 27 yr old did
@EiFSoccer Where was this energy when Barca got robbed vs Girona for an attacking player making the same challenge on Kounde? Where was it when they cancelled a fair goal against Atleti in CDR which would’ve put us through? Just stop talking nonsense
@NealGardner_ On paper at least, it’s very pragmatic and allows us to keep more control and defend better. We’ll see how the game plays out, but it’s early positive signs that we’re learning from the previous game at Wanda.
@Ellis_ Pressing and defense should be the easiest things that he can add to his game... he already is talented enough to have the hardest aspects of the game in his arsenal... all we're asking for is consistency and high intensity
@NealGardner_ Option 2 will be a better financial and sporting decision. Vuskovic is raw and moldable, he has all the characteristics for a Flick type CB. I have severe doubts about Bastoni in this system. Also it’s not even a debate that this team needs Osihmen over Alvarez.
@AlbicelesteTalk Simeone, Alvarez, De Paul are the pressing machines Messi needs around him. I just worry about not having Di Maria’s flair to unlock games, he was their only other consistent X factor that came up with big moments outside Messi.
@NealGardner_ Ferran
Rashford Raphinha
Fermin
Olmo Casado
Cancelo Eric Araujo Espart
Joan
Just need a body at ST, so Ferran works. Bernal must be rested. Eric, if fit, needs game time to get into rhythm. Roony on at 60 min
@ronaldowarrior G1 Saudi won, why walk out?
G2 Mexico lost fair & square
G3 Poland lost even after saving weak pen
G4 Australia lost fair & square
G5 Dutch were inferior throughout, shouldn't have had FK to equalize, why walk out?
G6 Crotia got destroyed
G7 France got 2 pens, why walk out?
@RafaelH117 And he's doing it with a less talented squad than Guordiola, and a fraction of the budget of anyone. I hope he wins UCL to cement his legacy at Barcelona and in the history of football.
