@keithg63@DonnaDlm71 @stefiamico I am as using it as an example, to show the difference de-escalation tactics can make.the UK approach of officers in high vis with non aggressive equipment is the right approach, as is having riot units in the back ground.
@Heather70753986@Nclarke30 So the don't deal with, murders, assault, rape, abuse, kidnappings, housebreaking, muggings, vehicle accidents, terror attack's, hate crime, etc?
You remove the police then what?
@markcunninghaam Just a question, in your article you refer to them enslaving blacks, should we not include the fact that Europeans accessed an existing slave market run by Africans and Arabs. Who were responsible for procuring slaves.
@No1552 @stefiamico @DonnaDlm71 FYI, I have experience from serving in the South African Police although I was lucky enough to never have to fire in anger.
@No1552 @stefiamico @DonnaDlm71 I think it would be the wrong option to arm all officers in the UK. Firearms are not some magic cure-all and would further distance officers from the public, especially as the UK does not have a gun culture.
