Reminder: anything above a 2.5 means I like it. I also want each number to mean something, meaning that just because an animation is good doesn’t mean it’s gonna be a 4. The 3.5-5 range have to be earned for me to score it there
Fuck Twitter for halving the amount of text I wanted to use. Anyways, my love for militarism and weapons recently got revived and I realized I’ve always had a genuine love for this account and it’s subject matter and the community around it. So perhaps I’ll start up again
Hello friends, I’m considering posting again. I left Twitter ages ago because the toxic negativity was something I needed out of my life and frankly this account started to feel like a chore. But I may start again just for the fun of it.
Lee Enfield from Day of Infamy: 4/5. I’m bias because I love this game but I haven’t seen many other games convey the length and weight of a full length bolt action like this. I like how carefully the bolt is operated and bullets are inserted. Feels like a proper weapon
Peacekeeper from COD BO2: 4/5. I really like animations that have the mag fall out instead of being taken out, especially with how the gun is flicked slightly down during it. My only problem is the bolt release is a little weak but otherwise it’s always enjoyable to watch
Upon seeing this I find it kinda sweet that they decided to keep that black ops 2 reload sound that’s used in every gun in the game even when they could have easily changed it when they added it to black ops 3
Rattlesnake from Payday 2: 3/5. I like reloads that have the gun rotate to its side to show a side you usually don’t see during use. I also like the mag release sound before it’s taken out and is generally animated to imply length and weight. Otherwise not amazing but it’s good
Tankgewehr M1918 from BF1: 3/5. It’s simple but I like it. It doesn’t do anything particularly interesting or fantastic but I like the part where the fresh bullet is partially inserted then pushed in with the thumb which makes the whole thing feel more physical
