🎪 1999 Putin delivered a brutal critique of 2026 Putin
"All our problems are of our own making... Look at our economy — it's nothing but misery. Look at our international relations — there's a gaping hole everywhere."
Back then, it sounded like a diagnosis. Today, it reads like the result of 27 years in power.
340 drones reportedly heading for Crimea’s energy infrastructure tonight - the kind of nightly reality Russia now faces after militarizing the peninsula. But don’t worry, Kremlin-bots like @ConciousLabRat assure us Russia is “winning.” Apparently victory now comes with a blackout
Kremlin-bots like @ConciousLabRat sell Russia as the clean, orderly, wealthy model Europe should imitate. Meanwhile in Rostov-on-Don - a city of 1.1 million - pensioners line up for free food because many could not survive otherwise. Quite the civilizational benchmark.
@ConciousLabRat Yes, you're right Russia did get richer. The percentage of households not having access to in-door plumbing decreased from 26% to a whole whopping 22% in the last 12 years.
Just 30 km from Saint Petersburg - one of the two centres of Russian civilization. This charming little hospital is apparently part of the "prosperity" that people like @ricwe123 think neighbouring countries should stop resisting and simply embrace.
Nothing says 'modern superpower' quite like a country where around a quarter of the population lacks indoor plumbing and over a third has no gas at home. But yes, @AngelicaOung, Moscow is beautiful.
@Rusia_HD Russia has no pride, as well as no in-door plumbing plumbing for approximately quarter of population and no gas for 36% population. The best place to make a family.
@marcosagusstinn When china is winning competition and Europe is loosing, than "China is destroying". When it's the other way around "it's fair competition".
People like @AngelicaOung keep selling Russia as some modern, superior model for humanity.
The video below is a small reminder of what that “superiority” looks like at ground level.
@AngelicaOung@aaronjmate Front lines are very far away from Crimea. If by " war zone" you mean drones, poverty and/or devastation, then the whole Russia is a war zone.
@AngelicaOung@aaronjmate There's a joke in Russia after Moscow had been attacked recently, that Moscow has finally joined the international war between Russia and Ukraine. Moscow is not representative of Russia. As I said - go to Norilsk, or Crimea or any other real Russian city.
