I am a lifelong Democrat who served in the Clinton administration and as a United Nations Human Rights Officer in Cambodia.
As a New Yorker, let me say this loud and clear:
Zohran Mamdani is an extreme bigot who is cynically stoking hostility toward New York’s Jewish community for political gain.
His words and actions are aggressively inciting violence and will lead directly to unnecessary deaths.
Good exchange here. And yes, good for Allie for bringing up the other extreme because he wasn't going to acknowledge it. And that's because his friends are part of problem, blaming Jews/Israel for every evil. He seems to only want to challenge the people who think that's wrong.
@MCCCANM If a pilot has anxiety and on anxiety meds, disqualified? Or if someone who wants to be a pilot? Also, is this only for commercial? If someone wants to be a rec pilot?
JD Vance on Israel opposing the MOU: "What is your exact proposal? You’re a country of 9 million people. You can’t just kill your way out of solving every single national security problem that you have."
Israel negotiated or accepted peace deals in 1947, 1949, 1978, 1979, 1982, 1983, 1993, 1994x2, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2005, 2008, 2010, 2020x3, 2021
Maybe blame the terrorist orgs that just want Israel & AMERICA'S destruction, rather than the ally that has been fighting alongside the US
Sorry, VP Vance: People saying this MOU is capitulation aren't "war hawks" who want a forever war and boots on the ground. It's not calling for boots on the ground to point out that we had Iran on the ropes without that and are letting up the pressure when they are weakest.
@BriannaWu 10000% it was a gamble. I never fit in the Maga camp to begin with. But I couldn't vote for him so I wrote in someone. He got the hostages home and I do NOT believe Kamala could have. It's a really messed up situation. He is in it only for himself and himself only.
Every Republican defending this MOU knows that if a Democrat had signed a document like this, they'd be blasting them to kingdom come. It's actually worse than the JCPOA. Iran made out like bandits. And now they know they can bring us to our knees with a few mines.
I recently found out that I share the same first and last name with a 19 year old student at Cornell who is going viral (over ten million views across twitter and other platforms) for anti-Semitic comments that he made (and continues to make) to a prospective-employer.
My social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) and law firm email address are being blown up by people understandably angry at this other Austin Franco. None of the posts cross any legal lines, but unfortunately there have been comments and emails talking about me, my firm, my parents, etc.
To make matters worse, the undergraduate looks just enough like me to be confusing, and the NY Post, Fox News, and other publications, have written about it with his image as the article cover.
The bad Austin Franco is continuing to make these statements to media and on social media, so we wanted to go on the record disassociating me and the law firm from him.
I am hoping this post will alleviate some confusion for the general public.
I appreciate all the people who have reached out!
This remains one of the most unhinged things ever admitted on the record by a candidate for public office. To the NYT no less.
“I admit that I am trafficking in a deeply problematic lie. I know I am doing it, it makes me really uncomfortable, but I must do it to win. And so I will.” — Brad Lander
You know, I would be willing to listen to an argument that "Epstein class" is simply referring to Epstein's relationship with other opulently wealthy people that believed their wealth precluded them from the law and that him being Jewish has nothing to do with it.
But I'm not willing to listen to that argument from someone who got a massive Nazi tattoo on his chest.
Seinfeld episode 2026: Jerry gets tickets courtside and brings George, who decides, with the Knicks down 20 with 10 minutes left, he will leave the game early to beat the rush out of MSG.
As the Knicks mount a comeback he tries to get back into the Garden. He waves his ticket, name drops James Dolan, but nothing works and he ends up getting arrested.
Meantime, Kramer sneaks into the Garden and helps Mike Brown draw up the game winning play.
This is my favorite argument.
In Hiroshima, roughly 140k people died due to the nuclear bomb out of 350k. That’s 40% of the city.
In Nagasaki, 80k people died out of 263k. That’s 30% of the city.
In Gaza, 73k people have died (according to GHM) out of 2.3 million. That’s about 3% of the population. A substantial percentage of that are terrorists.
So Israel has dropped an amount of bombs on Gaza that exceeds the power of the nuclear bombs we dropped on Japan and yet the death toll is far lower both proportionally and on a raw numbers basis.
How is that possible if Israel is committing genocide? Maybe it’s because they’re not.
Graham Platner literally attended the "top private high school" in America and wants us to believe he's working class because he pretends to work on an oyster farm and refuses to groom himself or wear decent clothes.
