- Theo goes on record talking about the importance of scouting, which the Red Sox haven’t valued in the same capacity.

- David Ortiz speaks publicly on John Henry’s concerns about the team.

- IKF alludes to some weirdness going on with the Red Sox when they’re at home.

- Buster Olney reports on how desperate the Red Sox are to add a RHH. To the point, they may even take on a bad deal.

Theo Epstein has been disappointed by the Sox’ intense analytical direction under Craig Breslow, multiple league sources told @timbhealey.

Epstein recommended Breslow for the Red Sox CBO position. Breslow described their communication as “ebbs and flows.”

@redsoxstats Historically, have other players around the league been successful about cutting their chase rate to such a significant degree? I thought it was extremely rare outside of people like acuna in his early days. But I def could be wrong. Impressive nonetheless, hope he keeps it up.
