My warmest wishes to everyone celebrating #EidAlAdha.
At a time of conflict, division and violence, let us all be inspired by this celebrations’ spirit of solidarity, community, compassion & empathy.
Eid Mubarak!
I met with the two candidates for President of the General Assembly at its 81st session, H.E. Mr. Khalilur Rahman from Bangladesh and H.E. Mr. Andreas S. Kakouris from Cyprus. Both will participate in an informal interactive dialogue on 13 May, providing Member States with an opportunity to engage directly with them. I assured both candidates that there will be a smooth and effective transition from PGA80 to PGA81, ensuring full continuity of the important work of the General Assembly. #BetterTogether
This is Europe that lectures us today about human rights and other bullshit slogans
What you saw in Gaza before the censorship is just one live-streamed episode of European barbarism that wiped out millions of people in Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Australia, based on identity
A sanitation worker from Bangladesh is leading the prayer, and behind him Saudis, Yemenis, and Indians are all praying together this is the true beauty of Islam.

My father, Imran Khan, has now spent over 900 days in a death cell with no family visits and no access to his personal doctors. Credible reports confirm he has been diagnosed with central retinal vein occlusion, a dangerous blockage that can lead to permanent vision loss if not treated through urgent medical intervention in a proper hospital.
Yet authorities continue to block his treatment and deny him the doctors he trusts. I am even denied the right to speak to him. This is not governance. This is authoritarian cruelty.
I call on every defender of human rights to act before it is too late. The world must see that in Pakistan today, democracy is hollow and basic human rights are being crushed.
As we kick off King Holiday week, I am thinking not only of my father, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., but also of my mother, Coretta Scott King—the architect and steward of the King legacy.
My mother understood that my father’s work could not live only in memory. She insisted it must be protected, taught, and practiced. Because of her vision, The King Center exists not simply to honor what was, but to equip people to live out what must be.
Together, my parents gave the world more than words. They offered a philosophy and a way of life—rooted in nonviolence, justice, truth, and love—that calls us to create the Beloved Community in our time.
As this week begins, my hope is that we move beyond remembrance and recommit ourselves to action: to learning, to practicing nonviolence, and to building the kind of world my parents believed was possible—one grounded in dignity, compassion, and shared responsibility.
I hope you will join us—virtually or in person—as we reflect, learn, and continue this work together: https://t.co/8ihcV5N5Cr

To blockade food, medicine, and dignity is violence. To sail, unarmed but unafraid, is resistance. This is what it looks like when ordinary people refuse to bow to injustice
