@AnthropicAI I'm starting to get "toxic partner" vibes from Anthropic. They mess with Claude Code, then do something to keep me using it, now they mess up again and I want to leave again. So if I use Chinese models, now I'm allying with the bad guys? wtf
@nicoalbanese10 Hi Nico! What was your previous default? What do you think made you switch? Opus 4.6 is currently my main driver for planning and reviews. For implementation, Sonnet. Mostly from Claude Code, some times Cursor.

I got a 220 points knowledge score on this year’s #StateOfReact survey! I have used 16 features, and knew 12 more, placing me in the top 34% of all respondents. Can you beat my score? https://t.co/7vDCJHw14z
First impressions about @github copilots new upgrade!
And a couple of reasons why I feel it's not quite a @cursor_ai killer yet...
Why it's awsome!
1. Really cool to use @OpenAI o1 models and @AnthropicAI Claude 3.5 Sonnet within the IDE through copilot.
2. The Copilot chat has been hugely improved! Before github chat vs cursor ai chat was simply a no contest. #Cursor was leagues ahead.
3. Moving the Ai bar to the right was smart, as everyone is used to that with Cursor.
My first try
I prompted o1-mini to upgrade my websites file inputs from a single file to up to 3 for premium accounts.
Result
In short, I was impressed.
For the most part, it felt automatic. All the code worked except for the third insert.
Which was one of the "Rest of the code below", where it just pasted the exact text in the box. It did not figure out where it needed to go and added it into the existing code, rather it replaced the whole block of code with exactly what was in the box, so had to do this manually.
Although it has to be said, when I updated that piece of code by hand, it worked!
It missed a couple of nuances, for example It did not make multiple image uploads exclusively for premium users.
That being said, there were no errors! Very impressive on a first attempt!
A totally different experience from the old copilot chat, which I found almost unusable compared to other alternatives.
Why I feel it's not quite a cursor killer yet...
1. When implementing a change to the code, it actually types out the entire file (with the changes in the box).
This seems to take an unneccesarily long time.
2. It is not as 100% in your face clear what changes have occured. You can tell by the blue lines next to the line numbers but, not as clear and user friendly IMO as Cursors UX.
with cursor it simply inserts the new code above the old in green, with the old in red and gives you the option of which one to keep.
I love this, it makes the change so clear and efficient!
Thats why I feel there is still a little work to do, but hats off to the #Github team! you have vastly improved Github copilot!
Having the reasoning models in there definatly puts you guys back up there!
The pace that Ai is moving is absolutely insane. Who knows what it will be able to do this time next year!

Few updats on @euinc_petition:
#1:
We are now closing Phase 1 (launch petition) and enter Phase 2 (public political support)
How you can help:
Help us get quotes from politicians who publicly endose the EU Inc (or "a 28th regime" as the topic is called in Brussels)
This can be one line in interviews, podcasts, or event panels. Anywhere that's public.
They can be regional, national or european level politicians. As long as they have some sort of topic authority / competence it's worth it.
The goal is to proof a positive politican momentum on this topic.
Btw we have our full roadmap public

Hey @EU_Commission@vonderleyen@Europarl_EN
Maybe it’s time to accelerate the Capital Markets Union aka 🇪🇺 European Nasdaq, EU Inc
And work on a AI ACCELERATION ACT ?
Less notaries, more tech pls 🙏
And here it is! I'm cautiously optimistic, as it has already solved an error for me that was too much for the previous version. claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022
Beyond computer use, the new Claude 3.5 Sonnet delivers significant gains in coding—an area where it already led the field.
Sonnet scores higher on SWE-bench Verified than all available models—including reasoning models like OpenAI o1-preview and specialized agentic systems.
Over 10,000 people signed the petition already! 🙀
What a week! 🔥❤️
Will publish the full roadmap to making the EU Inc real next week. Lots to show! We will make this happen. 🦾

One hot topic that'd be good to address when EU Inc becomes reality is the crazy burden founders right from day 1 get.
At the beginning, many innovative businesses or whatever start several months with no revenues, no issued invoice and often with no extra employees.
Yet VAT filings, and a huge mountain of filings is unfortunately the usual landscape entrepreneurs face in many European countries.
It's already a pain to spend time and money so companies can pay taxes, it's directly absurd that the pain is similarly strong when there are no revenues yet.
This goes against fostering trial and error, better done than perfect entrepreneurs, letting them explore new ideas, new business models, without bleeding time and money to report 0 euros tax.
Time to lower the recurring costs and barriers of starting a business, of trying things.
We really need the EU Inc to turn a page on this and create a red tape shield for founders
