End of Watch
RIP, good boy 🙏🏻
Today, we remember the victims, survivors, first responders, and all those whose lives were forever changed by the September 11th attacks 25 years ago. We honor the courage and sacrifice shown that day and in its aftermath. We will never forget.
Twenty-five years later, we solemnly reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and enduring memory of those lost on September 11, 2001.
While the scars remain, our nation and Navy carry forward an unyielding legacy of resilience. Forged from the ashes of tragedy, USS New York (LPD 21), USS Arlington (LPD 24), and USS Somerset (LPD 25) stand as living testaments to that strength, carrying steel from the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and Shanksville.
We will #NeverForget.
25 years after the September 11, 2001 attacks, the Marine Corps joins the Nation in solemn remembrance.
We honor the innocent lives lost, the extraordinary courage of the first responders, and the unity that defined America in its darkest hour. The attacks shaped an entire generation of Marines who answered the call with courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment in the years that followed.
We will never forget.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, eleven firefighters from FDNY Ladder Company 3 responded to the World Trade Center in this truck. Some had already finished overnight shifts but joined the response.
They began climbing the tower, carrying equipment toward people trapped above. Captain Brown and members of Ladder 3 reached at least the 35th floor. At 10:28 a.m., the North Tower collapsed. All eleven members of Ladder Company 3 who had entered the building were kill*d.
The truck was recovered from Ground Zero and eventually preserved by the 9/11 Memorial Museum. The truck came back, its eleven firefighters never did.
Every time Charles Wolf goes to the 9/11 memorial he kisses the name of his Wife Katherine Wolf who worked on the 97th floor of the North Tower.
He last saw her at 8:06 a.m."If someone looks at me when I kiss her name, I say, ‘It’s my wife.’That’s when everything changes,” says Wolf.
