@DragonShield_ I stumbled across the card sleeves on Amazon months ago, and was sad I couldn’t get my hands on it. A star-esque aesthetic is my jam, so this is a dream come true. I’d love a playmat!
My love language is forcing everyone to become obsessed with my current obsession so they suffer with me. I am the opposite of a gatekeeper. I am a gateway.
@megamindirl A thought about them crossed last night as I was (trying) to go to sleep…it was only a random one, but this tweet feels serendipitous. Thank you so much for posting this. I only met them once, but they had a great impact while they were here. 💜 Also, a fitting view count. XD
@dandelionmama Personally, this blend of two songs I know intimately from high school A Capella struck a cord (literally). The first, “Simple Gifts” has such poignant lyrics, offering such feelings of hope. And the second, “Going Home”, is similar, though with undertones of loss. 1/2 (?)
@dandelionmama 8 years later, I recall that feeling. Knowing she was at rest, free of pain. And I think it applies well to the loss of people with the pandemic, many of those being healthcare workers. A melancholy coupled with simultaneous relief. (3/3)
@dandelionmama I sang the latter in a quartet, an intimate experience to be sure. I also listened as it was sung at the funeral of a woman in our stake, my formal basketball coach and good friend’s mom. At a far too young age, she was hollowed by breast cancer. Hearing this, I felt peace. 2/3
@emaliberty@StaceyHarkey The second photo’s a bit redundant, but I found both of them hilarious…so there you go. 😅 Honestly such a gem of a person, no wonder he’s their “lucky charm”. XD
@ruledbymercuryy Growing up I’d literally *sprint* into the kitchen to avoid those scenes, and wait it out by getting a snack. Now, my husband (26) and I (23) will hide from the cringe under blankets, like little kids hiding from monsters. It’s sometimes physically painful.😅
@MediumSizeMeech Ooh, Margaret…I’m stealing that. My grandma’s name is Karen, but she is nothing like the meme description, so I feel weird using it. Thanks for the alternative. XD
Y’all, having sled dogs has been so good for my body image. And not because mushing is a joy-filled, physical outdoor activity, although that’s true. It’s actually something much simpler than that.
@calliomally Anyway, Dad’s a child psychology prof at BYU who has a book called “Encouraging Heterosexuality” in a stack in his office. There’s also me figuring out I’m bicurious, but not thinking I need to come out because I’m in a monogamous heterosexual relationship. 🤷🏼♀️
@calliomally Tbh I’ve been considering those pronouns too, but am currently living at home and my family doesn’t respect pronouns (dad stated “forcing” him to use someone’s new name and pronouns instead of their dead ones is “totalitarianism”...don’t know wtf he means by that. 1/2
