Applied for TDS refund at tds circle 1(3)(2) Cumballa Hill. Officer Somnath rejected it twice citing document shortage. Word over there is they seek cash commission to release your hard earned money. Refund amount 7299 @nsitharamanoffc

It is so unfortunate that it takes so long to refund the excess tds collection to tax payer but easy to charge penalty interest if the tax payer doesn't pay on time. Team - I provided a detailed response to TDS office Sushil Kumar Gupta #sushilkumargupta #tdsoffice on 28 August but no response from them after that. What are they waiting for? Are there any intentions of paying back my money?

The TDS team can just re-process the refund with one click of a button but they want me to take leave from job and resubmit all docs again, which is has done twice.

This will require creating an indemnity bond and documents submission which demands leave from office. I shall donate this money to income tax office. Thanks for all the pain.
