Not everything is lost.
TradFi spent years calling crypto a leveraged casino. This week it opened its own tables.
SEC clears 3x BTC ETFs. Robinhood announces 10x perps and AI agents that trade while you sleep, and says it doesn't supervise them.
The bot opens the long. You inherit the liquidation.
@Bitcoinprof0637 Holding the hotel while ETFs bleed isn't "demand." It's the guest refusing to check out while the lobby still sells furniture.Sep15–16 printed −$746M. Absorption ≠ a new buyer with a clipboard.
@afsheenjaf That's the right test: a move is noise until price accepts above 79.7k after expiry. Options can pin the tape; they can't manufacture spot demand. A breakout that can't hold is just range cosplay.
@Holden_Rye_ De-risking the curve is a sentence. Shorts eating most of the BTC liqs is a different sentence. Forced covering isn't a buyer showing up with conviction — celebrate less.
@luckyonlin Another bank 'entering crypto' headline. Custody press releases aren't demand. Equity wrappers can gap on policy theater while the asset settles as usual — don't buy the press kit for BTC exposure.
@Barchart Stocks hit Extreme Fear and crypto CT still wants a Fed corpse. Mid-index mood wallpaper isn't a direction call — and BTC holding a hike while equities flinch is the tell, not the emoji.
@mucbayhias Your own contra just admitted BTC stayed strong through CLARITY fail + a hike. Shorting that into 'lower entries' is how shorts become the body count. Stick to the plan — or update it.
@CryptoJobs3 IBIT can bleed a day and the chain still confirms blocks. Spot ETF AUM is a wrapper. When the wrapper flushes and price holds the box, you're watching redemptions — not a funeral.
@blckchaindaily BTC/ETH wrappers bled; SOL/XRP sniffed a few million. That's allocator rotation in a wrapper — not a protocol upgrade. Confusing the wrapper for the asset is TradFi's favorite hobby.
@fragoreeez Trump yelling at the Fed and ETF redemptions in the same headline is great TV. Spot still settling like it didn't get the press release. Don't confuse the show with the asset.
@Predixa_xyz Hike printed. ETF printer went red. Price still camping the weekly box. Flows are weather. Calling weather the climate is how you sell bottoms to yourself.
@BullishMarktCap Everyone's staring at the same round number like it's a prophecy. Holding a weekly box through a hike is a fact. Calling it destiny is how CT gets farmed.
@WEEX_Official First hike of the cycle and the body count was shorts. If your model needed the Fed to liquidate HODLers, update the model — not the bag.
Fed hiked. BTC shrugged. Shorts paid the bill.
~$66M of ~$98M BTC liquidations were shorts (CoinGlass). Weekly box held ~$76k. That's forced covering, not a new buyer. HODLers don't need FOMC to approve the bag. Alts surfing liq waves ≠ BTC.
@afsheenjaf Exactly — expiry can pin the short candle. It doesn’t mint a multi-month bid. When that shows up, the Dec→Jun carry stops looking like a polite ~5% treadmill and starts screaming. Until then: stagnation ≠ breakout cosplay.
@Charliehunts11 Hawkish dots make great TV. Futures still pricing a sleepy ~5% APR carry into mid-’27. The calendar’s less dramatic than the press conference.
@GroveXchange Flows printed ugly (and Sep15 was uglier). Funny part: futures term structure still charging a polite ~5% APR like the calendar didn’t get the email.
