Taxation has gotten out of control in Canada. All of the “free” programs the government offers comes at a price that is covered by a small portion of the tax paying population. It would open up new job markets to educated, skilled, hard working Canadians.

@MarcMethot3 The issue is that “fair” & “equal” are often mistaken for the same thing. I personally feel that high level athletes should earn their opportunities. That is “fair”. Rather than everyone receiving “equal” opportunities just because they “showed up”.

@Martyupnorth_2 My wife’s a realtor in Calgary. Condos similar to what you guys are looking for are on the market for hours before they go pending. A few weeks ago she was working with clients exactly like your daughter. They had to make an offer on a place, sight unseen.

@LHubich Larry. You do realize the the human race is “responsible” for ~3% of atmospheric CO2, don’t you? so roughly 12 ppm. SK is “responsible” for a small fraction of Canada’s contribution (0.2ppm). Tell me how you can justify a tax where there is NO net benefit? Unless…you’re an idiot

@cafreeland The Liberal party is taxing the sh*t out of Canadians to what? Attempt to remove FRACTION of 0.2 ppm (so no real net change) of CO2 from the atmosphere? Why don’t you admit that proceeds from the carbon tax are meant to replace the 2% that the GST was lowered?

@TrueNorthCentre This is interesting. I wonder how much the government has collected in GST over the same time period and if the $2 billion the government didn’t return to Canadians would come close to making up the difference between a 5% GST and a 7% GST.
