i feel so bad for gen z. the world has never been more "its who you know" - but that means quality, not quantity
so, sure, we're all connected to everyone now, but good luck turning that into anything
we need better social architecture that adds a layer of intelligence to this
@mal_shaik when i can find the time 😭
jk, i try to stay consistent so im not foggy. usually 11ish to 7ish, but i give myself some grace depending on the day
@SteveMoraco the future of apps won’t look or feel like an app in the traditional sense. i think it’s gonna look like a contact in your phone that you interact with the same ways you interact with anyone else in life - but that’s just me 🙃
working on convincing my girl to move to sf with me, so i’m flying her up for the weekend
and aneu just planned the entire weekend for me in a couple of texts 😭

VC rejection excuses: •
• No moat
• Big labs will kill you
• Too much competition
• Valuation is too high
• TAM is too small
• Get a co-founder
• Not enough traction
• Your retention sucks
Translation: I don’t believe you’ll win.
Your reaction: Watch me.
i get this. but at the same time, i think it’s good that we romanticize hard things.
hard things are important. more of us should try to do them, even if we do fail.
The romanticization of being a startup founder is kind of insane to me:
– You’re statistically unlikely to succeed
– You’ll have no life and be totally consumed
- Incredible lows
– You’re locking yourself in for 10+ years
This is insanely hard and NOT for everyone.
the eagles actually wrote this about being a startup founder
did you do it for love?
did you do it for money?
did you do it for spite?
did you think you had to, honey?
who is gonna make it?
we’ll find out, in the long run.
