@HLInvest Why are your cash ISA "tax free" rates lower than the AER here: https://t.co/peFKFd01cA ? Surely all of the interest paid in an ISA is tax free?
@HLInvest I found the calculator here: https://t.co/N2T5IjnlW9 . The question is which interest rate should I enter, the AER or the tax free rate? The calculator doesn't use these terms -- it just uses the generic term "interest rate".
@HLInvest Just to be absolutely clear, the HL cash ISA has an AER of 4.3%. So if someone deposits £100 in it, will the balance after 365 days be £104.30?
@HLInvest Ok, so AER is the interest rate that I would actually earn in a cash ISA every 365 days, right? I googled "AER formula", and that seems to explain the relationship between your AER and tax free rates when interest is compounded 365 times per year.
@HLInvest Do you mean that the AER is something like the daily interest rate compounded over 365 days? That doesn't explain why the "tax free" rates are lower. Interest in an ISA doesn't incur tax!
@anilkseth Is this self-fulfilment a result of the brain: a) correcting noisy observations; or b) avoiding responses that might exacerbate otherwise-transient real changes? Or is it due to something else?
@AndrewYNg Not sure if you wrote the "Reasoning Boosts Carbon Emissions" section of the latest Batch newsletter or someone else did, but can you please provide a reference for the claim that human labour produces higher emissions than AI for "many tasks"?
@JohnWittle@MaxRovensky@fofrAI Not sure who created it, but if you Google "zoo shih tzu joke", you'll find that it has been floating around the internet for over a decade.
@CompaniesHouse @AlanRNewton I'm having issues with WebFiling too. I tried to log in 5 times yesterday, and each time got an error saying "Sorry, there is a problem with the service". Same happened just now. Should we assume that it won't work until Monday?
