'Scenes from an Urban Sunset' is first and foremost a study in light, so it was important for us to make sure every frame of the short was painted and designed correctly. We wanted to evoke emotion through animation and get the urban vibe across, using a natural color palette. 🌆
#ScenesFromAnUrbanSunset combines 2D and 3D animation. Focusing on the city itself and its lighting, we worked with original 2D handcrafted digital backgrounds as we integrated 3D assets throughout the composition. Don't miss the breakdown in #Behance:

Our storyboard was the first step we took while making 'Scenes from an Urban Sunset'. From there, it all started to find its flow as we crafted all the settings and backgrounds, its colors and how light would interact with them through the course of the short. 🌇
"A subway train arrives at the station. A shiny poster on said train hints at an upcoming event happening in May 2023". 🚇 The urban landscape has so many scenes to show us, soon you’ll get to experience some of them from our perspective. Yes, this post is a teaser. ⏳🌇
