@RCAlcorn @aristofontes @cwellmon So I think the university is in a tough spot with students wanting lower tuition AND instructors facing higher workloads. Students don't want to pay the same price for a different style course. Instructors don't think they can take on a higher workload with current expectations.
@RCAlcorn @aristofontes @cwellmon From the students' side, there is a perception that online courses are of lower quality, and they think they should pay less. From the faculty side, teaching a class to two different audiences, or even just an online audience is a higher workload than a strictly online course.
@cynthiablee I’d advise to go Experience Report this year and feel free to put in as much background work and/or results data as you can fit. I think that it’s going to taking a few years to really nail down which papers fit best in which categories. Best of luck!
