Learning with little surprise that the transphobic ghouls of the LGB Alliance share an office building (55 Tufton Street) with The Adam Smith Institute, Leave Means Leave, Migration Watch UK, and The IEA amongst others. Christmas parties must have the most rancid vibes
The bullshit periodisation of "woke 1" allows people to do this sort of thing. Yeah, Nathan Cofnas is obviously, explicitly a racist. His work is from its foundations racist and his position in the academy is a project of promoting and laundering racism
This isn't to justify any pile ons at all, but it is to say: Jason is dead, and sincere words aren't enough. Especially in a context where many have seen and warned about the trajectory that has led here.

Reading this book played no small part in reviving my sense of political possibility, and it’s even more exciting because it was written by a comrade who I love so dearly.
Today especially, I am acutely aware of how blessed I am to have comrades who fight because they love; whose tenderness cuts through the sneers of a system which insists that we encounter each other in competition rather than solidarity; and who understand that our work is not just to discover what we could get, but who we could be if we encountered each other differently.
Congratulations Jonas. Here’s to building the lifeworlds which “our people” dream of.
