Yasin Kawuma was a very good man. Never provoked anyone. Not a single tweet insulting anyone. He loved people. Did his job as a driver to the people's president. He was down to earth. Many times he drove @HEBobiwine to many offices & never shared his views about how you conducted you work because he always minded his business. His advice was invaluable to those around him. As of this evening, we don't know where @EriasLukwago is being kept after his kidnap from his home today by @mkainerugaba. Together with his wife and lawyer Medard Lubega and others, we went to Nateete police station to report a case of kidnap but they refused to register it. We were sent to Kibuli CID headquaters to see the Deputy CID Chelimo. He also sent us to Kampala Metropolitan Police CID who has also refused to register the case. We have decided to write a letter to @UgPoliceFC, we hope they will receive it.

In Jan 2025, his other lawyer @kiizaeron was violently removed from the court room, assaulted and imprisoned for the same crime of representing his client. The captor, President Museveni’s son and head of the army, Muhoozi Kainerugaba is already gloating about the torture and humiliation he’s subjecting him too, the same way he did when he abducted opposition Presidential Candidate @HEBobiwine’s aide Eddie Mutwe in May 2025! For how long…?

Until today, some NUP supporters have been left to rot in prison since 2020 without trial.

Until today, Kibalama, Sam Mugumya, and others were abducted by security forces and disappeared. No one knows if they're dead or alive.

Until today, Eddie Mutwe has never been tried after being subjected to torture, and he was later joined by Waiswa Mufumbiro, Bobi Young, Bobi Giant, Olivia Lutaaya and others who have for more than a year now been loitering around courts without proper trial.

Until today, Dr. Kizza Besigye and Abed Lutale are not being tried, and there's no evidence produced in court against them whatsoever.

The attack is now on the lawyers representing some of the above-mentioned individuals. First, it was Eron Kiiza, and now it's Erias Lukwago.

Let's not forget how Kyagulanyi's wife was treated by men in uniform.

It's you, your lawyers, your family, and very soon, everyone, lest we're headed for slavery in what should be our country 🙌

Just learnt of the violent abduction, this morning, of former Kampala Lord Mayor, Advocate Erias Lukwago as he prepared to serve Court Summons upon Museveni’s son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba. Lukwago is a lead lawyer in the bogus treason case against Dr. Kizza Besigye, and in a case Besigye filed against Muhoozi for abducting him from Kenya, torturing, and undertaking to kill him from prison.

On Muhoozi's orders, military men have raided and abducted Lukwago from his home in Wakaliga before whisking him away in a drone to an unknown destination. The abduction has been confirmed and closely followed by posts on Twitter from Muhoozi, boasting that he has taken him to the "basement" to torture him just like he did to comrade Eddie Mutwe in April 2025!

I call upon all of us to REJECT and RESIST this brazen impunity. UGANDA WILL BE FREE!

Uganda in 2026! Museveni's son just released a picture of his captive, Advocate Erias Lukwago. Blind folded! His crime? Attempting to serve him court summons! If he can do this to an outgoing Lord Mayor of Uganda's capital city, former MP, and senior lawyer, imagine what he does to our ordinary supporters who are abducted day in, day out. And yet Museveni still has the audacity to say anything about Idi Amin! The world must not look on. There will be accountability for these crimes against humanity. It's only a matter of time.

Dr. Kizza Besigye has been on remand for more than a year now over charges that are only known to two individuals but can't be proven in court.

One of his lawyers, Eron Kiiza, was arrested in court and charged in a military court martial.

Another lead lawyer, Elias Lukwago, has been abducted and taken to unknown detention.

We continue to be told that we're in a functioning country that has lure of law🙌
