Even if you think the circumstances of this are convoluted, overturning a trial—in which a jury heard the evidence and deemed him guilty—involving the murder of a BLM protestor isn’t innocent.

Abbot did this to send a statement, not because he wanted to free an “innocent” man.

BREAKING: Texas Governor Greg Abbott just announced that he will pardon convicted murderer Daniel Perry.

Perry was convicted by a jury of his peers in the horrific murder go Garrett Foster during the Black Lives Matter protest in July of 2020. Abbott is overturning a fair trial to free a man of a murder conviction because he killed someone protesting police brutality. Perry literally drove his car into a crowd of protesters and shot Foster multiple times. Faster was legally carrying a gun.

This is the very problem with open carry. I guess Greg Abbott thinks that it is OK to kill law-abiding BLM protesters, but MAGA Republicans open-carrying their guns are just abiding by the 2nd Amendment.

RIP Garrett Foster.
