His leadership style, team-building acumen, and driver support provide the stability and unity needed to convert Ferrari’s potential into sustained success. While Christian Horner’s record is impressive, the risks associated with his appointment outweigh the potential rewards
Backing Fred Vasseur to stay at Ferrari! His calm, no-nonsense leadership has restored Maranello’s unity, trust, and stability. The team’s morale is high, drivers are thriving, and the foundation for future success is stronger. Steady hands win the biggest races. #VasseurStays
I asked Rory: shouldn’t the West adjust course?
Burkina isn’t anti-Western.
It’s anti-extraction.
If we don’t offer genuine, investment-led partnerships—we’ll be replaced.
The question is:
Are we prepared to listen?
France is already feeling the effects:
• No access to Sahelian resources
• Regional influence sharply diminished
• Deposits in Banque de France (CFA-zone), politically exposed
This is the unravelling of Françafrique in real time.
Burkina, Mali and Niger have formalised a Sahel security alliance. They’ve rejected Western military presence, drawn closer to Russia and Türkiye, and asserted strategic autonomy.
This isn’t drift.
It’s doctrine.
@RestIsPolitics Surprised there’s been no coverage of Burkina Faso this year. I raised this directly with @RoryStewartUK at a recent conference; he acknowledged its significance.
Since then:
• French & US forces expelled
• Mineral rights nationalised
• Sovereign debt lashed
@RestIsPolitics The consequences for France are huge:
• No more preferential access to uranium and gold
• Billions in reserves under question at the Banque de France
• A collapsing post-colonial grip on West Africa
Surely this deserves airtime?
@RestIsPolitics Surprised there’s been no coverage of Burkina Faso since February. In that time:
• Solenzo massacre
• Foiled coup attempt
• Expulsion of French & US forces
• Nationalisation of mineral rights
• Debt reduction through fiscal restructuring
🧵
@RestIsPolitics They’ve also reinforced a tri-state Sahel alliance with Mali & Niger—military-led governments all pushing out Western influence and replacing it with Russian and regional support.
This is not a blip; it’s a strategic recalibration of power in West Africa.
