Happy Heavenly Birthday,
Jake!
🎂 At 9:22 pm on this day 34 years ago I was blessed with an 8 pound boy who grew to be a funny, kind, faithful, strong, patriotic, loyal and compassionate human being. Jake Wykstra, I gave you life and you gave it in the service of others and I couldn't be more proud of you!
Today, is a special day to celebrate the short but rich life you lived, touching others every single day with your love for life and for others.
I will LOVE you with all my heart forever and ever my sweet son ♥️🇺🇸

Please help me make sure he’s not forgotten ♥️🇺🇸
12 years ago today we said our final goodbye and put our boy in the ground. I feel alone in this memory, because as others move on with their lives, parents do not. What we lost was an actual part of ourselves that we cannot get back in this life, so we wait. We wait until we can become whole again in the next life and pray we’re good enough to get there. ♥️
No, tipping is up to the giver and to show appreciation for exceptional service. The server needs to go above and beyond what is expected. That has always been the intent of tipping.
@BasedMikeLee@Latterdaytruth Here’s an interesting excercise. Ask Chat GPT how many times the Book of Mormon refers to Jesus Christ, Son of God, savior, Messiah and or Redeemer. It’s pretty telling if you have the guts to do it.

@JasminRappleye I love your reasoning. However, it seams implausible that Moroni travelled that far to bury the plates in New York. Would love to hear your theory for that.
On this day, May 28th, 2014 my only son,
PFC Jacob H Wykstra
took his last breath far away in the deserts of SE Afghanistan. He was just 21.
Jake, it never gets easier but I am eternally grateful that of all the women in this world, God chose me to be your mom. It was a joy and privilege to watch you grow into a faithful, strong, patriotic, funny, happy, artistic, athletic, intelligent, and caring man.
Thank you for the joy you brought and the memories you left behind. They will sustain us until we see you again and then there will be no more heartache and no more goodbyes.
All my love, your mom ♥️🇺🇸

@RubinReportShow@RubinReport Dave, I thank you for posting this. One of the best reminders of why we have Memorial Day and honoring the fallen! Please ignore the haters. Those posting negative comments show their true colors. They are just filled with hate and hate for our great county.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
May we always live worthy of their sacrifice, honor their memory, and never forget the brave Americans who paid the ultimate price.
This Memorial Day, remember that the Constitution is divinely inspired and worth defending.
In 2021, President Oaks (@OaksDallinH) gave a talk on the topic of our divinely inspired Constitution.
Take a moment and listen. 🇺🇸
“Remember and never forget”. I remember and honor my step son Jacob Henry Wykstra. Killed in Afgh. on May 28th, 2014. His sacrifice and the sacrifice of his mother and father and all our fallen who sacrificed for my freedom. Remember and never forget!
“Can I go inside?”
For years, this has been the most common question from visitors at Salt Lake City’s Temple Square, usually met with a "no" due to the sacred nature of Latter-day Saint temples. To address this sense of mystery and secrecy, Church leadership approved a groundbreaking new visitors' center.
This week on “Deseret Voices,” @mckaycoppins talks to project leaders about the changes being made to bring more transparency to the temple.
